Marble Slab Creamery — Restaurant in Georgia

Sadly the poor reviews are true. Ordered a Marble Slab ice cream cake and it wasn't ready well after pickup time. When I arrived the staff seemed friendly (thus the 2 stars) but said it wasn't ready, didn't explain why and didn't tell me how much it wasn't ready. We waited and waited and went to another store then came back. Thankfully we weren't on a tight schedule. When I received the cake the name was misspelled which she fixed after I pointed it out. Now I was in a hurry at this point to get on with my day so I didn't look close enough to the rest of the cake details. I packed it on a cooler with ice packs even though it was winter temps.The border flower icing decorations had already starting sliding off the top of cake. I didn't realize how poorly the cake was done until I got it home. It turned out to be a disappointment. Barely resembled the pictured example. The weird gooey icing used never set and was drippy even after placing in our freezer for hours. It was the wrong consistency that would never freeze solid or set. The taste was off. This was my first time ordering an ice cream cake from this location. The cake presentation was an embarrassment for an important occasion and I paid $35 for this?! Usually order ice cream cakes from Brusters and after this I will be returning to Brusters where I've have not...

Such a horrible experience. Had my 5 year old daughter design her birthday cake to the last detail and ordered it on a Monday to be picked up on the following Saturday at 11. Got a call 5 minutes later to confirm the order and cake sizes. I arrived at 11 to pick up the cake and the place was closed. Someone finally came to the door and said they were on "Winter" hours, though no sign was posted. After asking about my cake, they hesitated but finally agreed to give it to me. They searched around, and couldn't find it, and finally said it hadn't been made and will take more than an hour to make it. I asked to cancel and they told me to call back once opened so a manager would be there. I called later, and they said I had to come in to do the cancellation. The next day I went in and of course their systems were down, so I still couldn't cancel my order. I asked if I could cancel over the phone once the systems are back up, which they agreed to. I finally was able to cancel the order the following Monday, and all they needed was the card...

Would be zero stars if possible. Me and my mom decided to visit this location after having dinner since I am 23 weeks pregnant and have been craving this ice cream for a week now, we walked inside and stood there for about 3 minutes talking about what flavor we would get all while the young worker stood and listened to our whole conversation and chose not to come and help us. At 7:58pm we asked her if we could get some help where she finally decided to inform us that since they close at 8pm that they will not be serving us ice cream, I basically begged for just a scoop of ice cream that was still sitting out and even opted for no mix ins and she refused. Although the sign still said open and considering it was not even 8pm yet, i believe this girl just simply did not want to serve us and was making up every excuse not to dirty another spoon. And the way she handled it was so rude and not at all apologetic. Not sure I’ll be returning after this.
