In much the same way that an unusually persistent and troublesome squirrel has determined my backyard bird feeders to be spectacularly irresistible, I find myself inexorably drawn to this tempting purveyor of all things delicious and satisfying. It is the rare week indeed which does not find me upon multiple occasions blissfully perched upon a favorite stool near the well-stocked bar or happily nestled in a comfortable booth near the window while a top-notch attentive staff tends to my gastronomic interests. On those days when my dining needs tend to the al-fresco variety, there are plenty of seating options on the adjacent patio.

While enjoying lunch recently with a friend who was new to the establishment, I was asked which menu items were especially tasty. I was able to reply honestly that I had yet to order an entree that failed to satisfy, and have never been disappointed with my choice as I have worked my way through nearly the entire menu.

What keeps me coming back, however, is the exceptional service I have received on nearly every occasion. The establishment is well-named, as I have felt like a welcome friend since the very first day I began dining here. I have been treated to innumerable kindnesses and have experienced the sort of attention that is guaranteed to make me a loyal customer for a long time to come. I have found myself eagerly anticipating a conversational interaction with the staff in equal measure to my enthusiasm about my impending meal.

I've begun to suspect I have visited too frequently, as a recent Google Maps street view search revealed the presence of my car in the parking lot in one of the photos. I go here often for dinner since it is on my way home. The food is usually pretty good. I noticed that on Monday's they have free kids meals with purchase of an adult entree and beverage, so I stopped by last Monday with my 3-year old son. I ordered an entree and a draught beer and I told the waitress I wanted to order a kids cheeseburger meal for my son. When the bill came, I asked the waitress why the kids meal was still on the bill. So, she went and came back and said that the kids meal is only free when an entree and non-alcoholic beverage is purchased. (It stated this nowhere in all the promotions they have for the free kids meal.) I told her to add a sweet tea to it then, so I could still get the free kids meal. Then, what I assume is a manager came back and told me, I didn't order a kids meal, so there wasn't one to take off the bill. When I told him that I told the waitress I wanted a kids cheeseburger meal, he said "We don't have a kids cheeseburger meal. We only have the cheesy burger entree which is what you ordered." I tried to explain to him that I wouldn't order a full entree for my 3-year old and that the waitress never told me there wasn't a "Kids" cheeseburger meal when placing my order, but it fell of deaf ears. I've worked in food and beverage for many years in my life and this experience was not handled properly by Friends Grill. For this reason, I will not return to any of their locations. Great place. The food was so good we came on a Wednesday and didn't even know that the wings were buy 10 wings get 10 wings free, we ended up going with the signature house which was Cajun and medium mix they are by far the best wings I've gotten in a long time. The Philly cheesesteak was really good as well. Great fries Great prices for the quality of food. Every staff member I interacted with was great, friendly, very helpful, informative, and honest people. The environment was super friendly and laid back. Fun place would definitely recommend and come again. I will say the wings weren't piping hot when we got them but I'm sure if you ask they will make sure to bring them as soon as they're ready. Other than that super great first experience. I did come around 8 pm so I am sure if you come early there will be a wait and not so much attentiveness from staff, which is totally normal in rush hours.
