Motel 6 Dawsonville, GA North GA Premium Outlets — Hotel in Cumming

The location is good. The room was clean. Shower pressure was great. Bed were very hard and 2 teeny pillows. |I had to pay $50 deposit refundable only if room was good and not smoked in.|There is something very odd going on at this motel. It's almost as if the workers and their families live there and took in elderly live ins too. Some guy put a Bluetooth speaker on the trash can outside our room window and started blasting some music while smoking which blocked the door to the outside then attempted a conversation with us while we were trying to load the car to leave. The guests/residents sir right outside the exit and smoke making it impossible not to walk through also allowing the smell to enter the hotel hallway.|The 2nd night's (Saturday night) stay was the real kicker. My friend and I were awoken by the front desk associate calling. He called me by the wrong name twice before getting mine correct. He said that our neighbor called and said that we were smoking in the room. I told him no, we were sleeping. He then said well if you are would you please stop. I again said no we are not smoking nor do we even smoke. He apologized and hung up. Neither of us could fall back asleep due to the loud laughing and stomping going on in the rooms around and above us. |The next morning, my friend was sitting in front of the adjoining door using the long mirror and said she kept getting smells of smoke. Then we both kept hearing what sounded like a can of air freshener being sprayed a lot. |I went to the front desk to check out and mentioned everything that occurred. She said that my room had to be checked for smoke before I left. I followed her to the room. She said it was perfect and refunded my deposit. |Idk what's going on here but I don't want to be anywhere near that place...

Excellent check in process. Beautiful plants welcomed us! Only a few hundred feet from a "mainer" road, we seemed like we were on a desert island. There is plenty of parking. No road noise. It was so nice to see the closest properties were Dunkin Donuts and Bruster's Ice Cream. Within walking distance. Indoor pool was sparkling clean. There is a chair lift to assist anyone needing it into the pool. That was very considerate and a most unexpected feature. Love to see it. Very much appreciated the wooden deck with wicker furniture. Even pillows. A grill. The guests were each all friendly. There was a very full parking lot when we checked out and I can see why. Don't sleep on this location. If you are looking for a place to sleep, with amazing water pressure, close to pizza, steak, tacos, and more, give the 6 a chance. Noticed plenty of vending on both floors. Enjoyed watching some precious nature in the kudzu. The personal attention at the front desk was the best I've ever encountered. Kathy checked us in. She is very nice. DO NOT stay here! We stayed in March one night, check in was at 3. We arrived at 5 pm, they had not even started cleaning room. No one was at desk to greet guests, waited 15 minutes! We were told to come back in 20 minutes, we arrived almost an hour later and we waited, in the hallway, as we watched them just beginning to clean our room after a long and exhausting day. They used a very potent cleaner that made us sick. Then, at 3 in the morning, fire alarm went off. The manager who was very unprofessional paced the hall half nude and explained to me that a “tenant” “once again pulled the fire alarm”, apparently mentally ill. This place was awful, I wouldn’t even give them a one star. It’s been a month and half and they haven’t called us back or done nothing to make things right! They will delete this review, for third time but I have been advised a better way to expose their negligence! And furthermore, any good reviews I can assure you are bogus!
