Absolutely freaking awful, even for McDonald’s. Came through this week to grab some drinks, and fries. The lady who took the order was completely rude. We drove to the payment window and waited, and waited, and nobody came, so we pulled to the pickup window, thinking they might only have one window open. They started handing us our drinks and when we tried to tell them we hadn’t paid yet, it was like they couldn’t comprehend what had happened and they got huffy and acted like we had done something wrong. My sister had a code for them to scan (or type in) and they literally took her phone from her to take it in and scan it and didn’t bring it back for at least 5 minutes. Then they kept arguing with us that we owed more, because they upgraded our waters when we had tried to order the courtesy cups. When we finally worked through the nightmare of payment, they hadn’t given us our fries. We told them nicely that, and they told us to pull up and wait. The order of fries was literally sitting inside the window. After watching them give it to the person behind us, and watching her hand them back, they brought us out our cold fries 5 min later, and the woman who brought it out rolled her eyes at us as she stepped away. It took us 30 minutes to do our order with only 1 other car in front of us. There were literally 4 people in one window and none in the payment window. The four people in pickup were all trying to do the same job, and we literally had to walk them through how to do their job. I have never seen such gross incompetence and lack of communication, coupled with terrible manners. Horrible horrible experience...
Read moreGot to the payment window and asked to redeem my free iced coffee from the McDonald’s app. Employee servicing me at this time was nice and said it wasn’t an issue. The problem occurred while waiting 15 minutes for my iced coffee and letting them know that I was missing a drink still. I paid for 4 meals, but received 3 drinks. A different employee came out with an immense attitude and took the time to sort through my receipt to tell me that I (customer) was wrong and that she would not get me my drink because they did give them to me. I showed her all the drinks I had and she still refused to get my drink. The problem here is NOT getting my $2 Coca Cola that I did order and did NOT receive. The problem here was the employee who took the effort to come attack me in my car and tell ME that I did have everything even though she wasn’t even the one to had me my meal at all. As she walked away from me, she whispered that she would bring me a small instead of a large because I was lying but “fuck it” (exact words from employee). Read moreOur recent visit to McDonald's in Savannah, GA, left much to be desired. Despite being in a hurry and expecting quick service from a fast-food restaurant, we were sorely disappointed.
We ordered four sandwiches and two coffees, thinking it would be a quick breakfast solution. However, what ensued was far from fast. We waited for over 45 minutes for our order to be ready, which completely defeated the purpose of choosing McDonald's for a quick meal.
The lack of efficiency in the service was evident, with long wait times and seemingly disorganized staff. Despite the restaurant not being overly busy, the delay in preparing our order was unacceptable.
To make matters worse, when our order finally arrived, it was lukewarm at best. The sandwiches lacked freshness and tasted as if they had been sitting out for far too long. The coffee was barely drinkable, lacking the warmth and flavor we expected.
Overall, our experience at McDonald's in Savannah, GA, was highly disappointing. The slow service, lack of freshness in the food, and subpar quality of the coffee left us feeling frustrated and dissatisfied. We certainly won't be returning...
