Mo Better Chicken (Decatur) — Restaurant in Georgia

Just moved to Decatur in September of 23 and had been riding pass this place finally decided to stop in for dinner and I was starving. Well first walking in it was kinda shocking because it was empty and chairs was on the tables so if you wanted to sit you could not. We were not welcomed when we walked in you could tell it is a neighborhood restaurant. The old lady there was standing at the beginning of the food line and could see we were confused on how the process worked but never said a word to us. Matter of fact no one said a word as if we were regulars. A lot of people from work came in. As I started down the food line the food didn't look good at all the chicken looked dry as if it had been there all day and the ox tails looked disgusting the turkey wings were white with white gravy nothing looked good the sides looked even worse the mash potatoes were piled up like a mountain and looked discolored I guess from the air. So just to support I got a 3 piece white snack and got my daughter a 3 piece dark snack my husband got the fish shrimp dinner and the fish is cooked to order (I guess unless they just didn't have any when we ordered so they had to cook his fish and shrimp) the fish was over cooked and the shrimp were the trick breaded shrimp. (All bread no shrimp ones) he had rice and mac n cheese and he didn't like it at. But he ate it. The chick was like gas station chicken been there so long when you eat it the grease sit on your tongue.the chicken gave - If I was drunk coming from a club and need something to eat. Would I go back? NO. When I got home the chicken was lukewarm and the roll as ok I had to soak the chicken in hot sauce. My daughter had hers and said don't ever bring that to here ever again. I told her don't worry I won't. At least I can say I supported the business but I won't be back. The customer service was a little better after I started talking with the staff out front the staff that came from the back was just plain rude. I work in customer service so I'm very big on customer service! I can't find one place in Georgia that sells good food! I wish...

As some people have mentioned below, some of the people working can be very rude which is very true. My story today. A young boy was assisting me today, he told me that he don't like turkey when I asked him how the meatloaf tasted. When I ask to try a tiny sample of the turkey meatloaf, he said that he can't give any samples so I asked him to get the manager. As he went back, all I heard was her yelling...shouting that she(meaning me) can't have any samples from the back kitchen. (Why am I hearing her?) He comes back up to the front to tell me what she said but of course I heard her yelling. I told him not to worry about my plate anymore that already had two sides on it since she obviously have a issue with certain people asking. All she had to do is come up front herself and calming explained why she wouldn't change her mind. Then, I asked the boy what her name was since she never came up front, he was struggling saying it and spelling it so I asked him again to get her. When he went back, again...she is yelling saying..what do she want. She comes up finally saying...I told you no sample. I told her this is about your unprofessionalism, yelling..and the sample wasn't never an problem. This is the owner..SHABRA. Her rules are her rules but she don't need to be rude about them. I can only assume that she must treat her employees a certain way since she don't care how she handle business with the customers. I am even concerned at this point for how she handle her food as she prep and yells, spitting, etc....She is very lucky to have any customers. I wouldn't have given one star but I had to put something. Please Rethink about who's in the back handling your food before going. SHABRA has some real issues when it comes to how she is talking to people and gets real angry if you ask a question as...

Well this was my first time going a coworker shared some wings with me and I must say they were good. So I was in the area and I stopped by and ordered my food at 6:46 also stamped on the receipt. I ordered a baked chicken plate and wings. I got the baked chicken right away. 50 minutes later a lady asked did I order the fried wings. First time so I checked my order and it was only 10 lol. She proceeded to go the kitchen and said he didn't order 10 he ordered 20 and the other lady said oh wait they are in the warmer. I took the food and left but who wants fried chicken that has been sitting for who knows how long. So I will say this my dogs are eating good and there is a first and last time for everything. Service is everything. No apology no nothing. I know I won't effect there business because they have a nice crowd. But it is so sad to have decent food and horrible service. I'm choosing service and hot food over good food that is cold and poor service. Your decision but watch em and check on your order because they won't. Also look at the other reviews.
