My GF and I stopped by here on a Saturday night, place wasn't too busy. We started off with the Bruschetta, it was simple yet delicious! The bread was crisp and crunchy the topping was juicy and flavorful. I had the tour of Greece and my GF had the Balsamic chicken. My dish had some of everything and nothing was wrong with any of it. The Greek potatoes were crunchy on the edge but soft in the middle with just the right amount of seasoning. The lamb slices for the Gyro were flavorful and tender, not too oily or greasy like some places make theirs. The Slovakia Chicken was moist and tender and full of flavor as well. My only complaint, and I am nit picking at this point, was I wish they served a little more tzatziki sauce since I like to put it on almost everything. The Balsamic Chicken was again simple but delicious. The meat was moist and flavorful, the balsamic brought out just enough sweet and tang to compliment the rice it was served with. The chef came out shortly after we got our food and asked if every thing was ok. I said it was more than ok. He advised us to save room for dessert, and that I did. Three words: Baklava Ice Cream! This was something he made himself and so when it was brought to me I thought it was going to be vanilla ice cream with chunks of baklava in it. Oh no, it was so much more. The ice cream literally tasted just like the baklava itself with drizzles of caramel sauce over it. When he came back out to check I gave him two thumbs up and said my hats off to you sir. The couple sitting across from us said I can attest, I saw his eyes roll back! If anyone reading this has heard bad things about this place or had a bad experience I can say with confidence whatever happened in the past has been corrected. If you haven't been here in a while, stop by when you can and give them another try. I think you...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at The Olive Tree in Lithia Springs, GA, and it was an experience worth sharing. From the moment I entered the restaurant, I was enveloped in a warm and inviting atmosphere. The rustic decor, accented with soft lighting, created a cozy ambiance perfect for a casual dinner or a special occasion.
The menu at The Olive Tree is an impressive mix of Mediterranean-inspired dishes, and I was eager to explore it. I started with the hummus appetizer, which was creamy and flavorful, served with warm pita bread that was freshly baked. It was a perfect way to whet my appetite. For my main course, I opted for the grilled chicken kebabs, and they did not disappoint. The chicken was marinated to perfection, tender, and packed with flavor. It was served with a side of fragrant rice and a fresh Greek salad, which provided a delightful balance to the meal.
One of the highlights of my visit was the attentive and friendly service. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and enthusiastic about the dishes, which made the dining experience even more enjoyable. They were quick to refill our drinks and check in on our table without being overly intrusive.
Dessert was a must, so I tried the baklava. It was rich, sweet, and flaky, providing a perfect ending to a fantastic meal. The Olive Tree also offers a good selection of wines that pair beautifully with the food.
Overall, The Olive Tree in Lithia Springs is a gem for anyone seeking great Mediterranean cuisine in a welcoming setting. I highly recommend it and can’t wait to return to try more dishes from their...
Read moreI recently dined at Olive Tree Restaurant on Valentine’s Day, and while the service was friendly, the overall experience was a bit disappointing. Our waitress was kind but seemed flustered, muttering under her breath as she managed the busy rush. She did her best, but when we showed her a picture of a dish from the restaurant’s own photos, she told us they didn’t serve it, which was confusing. It made me wonder if the restaurant is using images of food that aren't actually on the menu.
As for the food, the portions were generous, but the flavors were underwhelming. The crab cakes lacked seasoning, and I had to add lemon to the sauce just to give them some flavor. The chicken piccata was dry and bland, though the lemon sauce helped a little. The noodles were just plain boiled with no seasoning or olive oil to enhance them.
The highlight of the meal? The rolls. They were fresh and delicious, standing out as the best part of the dining experience. Given the positive reviews I had seen beforehand, I expected more in terms of flavor. Maybe the Valentine’s Day rush played a role in the inconsistency, but overall, the food was bland and didn’t live up to the hype.
Also, if you have little children, be aware that the restaurant only has one bathroom stall for males and one for females, so there may be a wait if the place is busy.
I hope this was just an off night, but I’d be hesitant to return unless the quality and...
