Totopos Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Georgia

Restaurant is clean. That is about all I can say! I Have lived in the new hope area for over 20 years. Totopos has never been my fav always hit or miss with my family. What I mean is sometimes you go the service is good sometimes the service is horrible just depends on the day. Sometimes you get your food and it’s is ok and sometimes it’s not that great. I never leave a review because well let’s be honest it doesn’t really matter. After tonight 7/29/24 they will never receive my business again. I ordered 3 taco salads one steak two chicken. Got home the food was cold and the taco shells were stale so disappointing and then we go to eat some chips and salsa and they were stale so old they were bendy. Tonight was by far the worst food I have ever received from them but, the way it was handled when I called is why I will never give them my business again. Instead of simply apologizing and maybe taking a percentage off my next order that I place nope! No apologies were made and the so called manager simply said you want to bring it back and get new food well No I don’t. I wanted to get home after my work day and sit down and eat good Mexican food but, was sorely disappointed. Worst food ever this isn’t the first time just the first time I have gotten aggravated enough to write a review. Not sure how they get the good reviews I guess those people caught them on a good night. I can say in my years of living in New hope I have maybe caught them 2 times on a good night. They will never get my money again though. Hope your experience is better than mine has been. If you have a bad experience don’t be stupid and keep giving them chances out of convince it never gets better trust me. Taco Twosday in a big way 2/22/22! Add in National Margarita Day and our group of 16. We waited about 30 minutes to get seated. Our servers were attentive and immediately apologetic as they were short staffed. They had a great margarita special on Tuesdays, but there was no taco special. Little disappointing given the fun palindrome day. Because we were a large group, drink orders and delivery took time, but they kept the chips and salsa coming. They said they make each margarita from scratch, and my mango frozen was so good that I ordered a second. Our food order came fast and hot. Literally less than 15 minutes after ordering. Not only was it quick, but it all came together. Can I tell you the tilapia and the shrimp tacos with the spicy slaw and jalapeños was some of the best I've had! (Leftovers reheated well too) For a packed restaurant that was short staffed on a busy night with a big group, our server rocked it. She was hyper attentive, refilling drinks and chips, and clearing dishes. We made sure to take extra care of her since they didn't add extra gratuity for a group. The food is decent. Really. My issue is with pricing. Holy cow! I ordered 8 tacos. Nothing special added in. It cost $21. $21.00?! For tacos?! That was yesterday. Today I had lunch with some girlfriends. I asked for a very simple quesadilla with very little meat for a tiny 15 month old. The server suggested they had a child’s quesadilla. I was specific with small, cheese and very little meat. I didn’t ask how much because how much can a child’s quesadilla (with no sides, drinks or anything else) be? It came out with a ton of meat (normally a good thing) and with very little cheese which made it impossible to stick together so I could cut it. I get the bill and look to see a child’s quesadilla for $5.99. $5.99?!!! My lunch Speedy was $6.50. What the freak?! I told the server my displeasure at the price. She just nodded. Now I’m not sure there wasn’t much she could do anyway so I don’t fault her. The food was good. But, I’ve had good food at other establishments that wasn’t this pricey.
