Waffle House — Restaurant in Georgia

On the 7th of October, I decided I wanted to place a to-go order at Waffle House. We called three times and never got an answer. Upon arriving to this location, one of the servers was explaining to another guest that they were out of a lot of their to-go supplies so they couldn’t do to-go orders. That is understandable. What I don’t understand is why the employees at this establishment failed to answer the phone to let guests know that they could not take to-go orders for that reason. Since no one is answering the phone everyone was coming to the store in person. So, the servers told people coming in that it was dine in only but every.single.table. was filthy and covered with dirty dishes. You can’t do to-go’s and it’s dine in only but every table is dirty??? and y’all aren’t even busy. The employees were just looking at guests very annoyed as people came in the restaurant. Had they answered the phone this could’ve been avoided and maybe y’all could have cleaned your tables. The line cook (blonde, tall, man) additionally had the audacity to tell guests “This isn’t the only Waffle House”. Like whhhaaattt reallllyyy?!?! this IsNt ThE oNlY WaFfLe HoUsE?!?! I didn’t know that WOW!!!! However it is the closest Waffle House for a lot of people in this area. Needless to say, this was a very disappointing experience and none of the employees seemed like they wanted to be there or cared at all which is fine but if you don’t like your job and you don’t want to do it. You should do everyone & yourself a favor and just quit!!! Seriously, please quit!!! I also would like to add that the location across from the racetrack was 10X busier than this one. Had only 2 servers and 1 line cook & they were doing an amazing job!!! (Where as this location had more than twice the staff in store) the atmosphere at the other location was miles better in comparison. If you’re craving Waffle House don’t go to this location!!!! Go to the Charles Hardy Parkway location instead!!! The servers there are super friendly and actually want to provide you with good service to maximize their tip, and they deserve it!!! We are residents of New Hope Dallas GA in Paulding County and was very hesitant on going to this location after having a couple of bad experiences about 2 years ago and hadn't been back since then until this tuesday night after the long day my husband and I had with my husband coming from working off Delk Rd.,then having to deal with the traffic after the MLK holiday was just wanted for us to meet up to get one of our Waffle House favorites starting with my bacon cheese grill chicken melt and his is the bacon cheese burger melt is something we both usually like to do before settling in for the evening at home and this was our reason for giving the New Hope location another try is 1st.) Its close to home and 2nd.) We get to have alittle fun date night at a fun place and 3rd.) Is enjoy our waffle house favorites that is prepared by amazing cook and 4th.) Great the service like we had tonight and Oh boy am I glad my husband suggested for us to meet at this location,starting with the warm welcome on a cold January evening from the Kick it up a Notch Nick,that was also our amazing table clerk,then to the Dynamic Dennis that was a master chef in my book for doing an outstanding job on the grill as he prepared our food,has definitely changed our minds and we are happy to say we will return back to this location @ New Hope,...

I've called this location to put in a to go order lots of times and have found that they don't always answer the phone. If they get busy or just don't feel like picking up the phone then you just can't get through. This happened on multiple occasions and I just had to order from one of the other locations. You'd think that a phone ringing for 20+ minutes would get answered! Then last night was it. I sat at the bar with my son and his friend and were ignored for about 30 minutes. Finally she took my to go order and checked me out. She stared me down while I wrote her tip and then asked me about it when I was done. Then she turned around and made comments on how stellar the tip was because she felt like it wasn't enough. I guess a 5 dollar tip is not enough for this kind of service... Anyways. I will not be back. I've never had any problems from the crossroads location so they will get my business...
