So, here is a play by play of my very 1st exp here. Seated at a table, water was brought out to us. The waiter asks if we would like to hear the specials of the day. We say "sure, please", he then rambles off about 8 different items with all kinds of things in them. Once he was done, he just looked at us and asked us if we knew what we wanted. Granted no menu was given to us, nor were we informed of a QR scan (Luckily I saw it at the host desk and went and got it). We said no and then pulled up the menu online. About 3-4 mins past and he came back, asking if we made a decision. I asked him "do you have anything that does not come with pork or cow in it" (I can eat that meat), he looks at me and says "We have a salad". So I ask what's all in it, and he names a few veggies, lettuces, and then pork. I then said again "I can't have pork", so he replies with "We can make a natural salad with just veggies". At this point, we have had time to look over the menu and notice a few items I can eat, yet he never mentioned any of them to us. I said, "I would like the full thing of cauliflower and the Brussels sprouts" at this mention he remembers I do not want pork and informs me the sprouts are pre-made and have bacon in them. So I opt out of that one and ask for a half size broccolini. The waiter informs me of all that comes on the dish, and I ask to opt-out of the Egg and Cheese, he told me no issue on that one. 7-8 mins pass, and a lady brings out our dishes, granted they gave me a full size of broccolini with the cheese and egg, she said 'the kitchen messed up and gave you a full instead". My waiter saw this from a few feet away and came over, took the plate, and said "I am sorry about that I put in you only wanted a half and that you are vegan, I will get this corrected and bring you another full size out without all the add on". (Never did I tell him that I was vegan, I just asked for no pork, cow, cheese or the egg. Was never offered any chicken or a fish plate.) He walks away with that plate and I grab my fork to start on my cauliflower. However, as soon as I grab my fork and our waiter turns his back to us, this bald man walks over and asks that Manager question "How is the food". I look him dead in the eyes and just tell him "It just got placed here, and I have not even taken a bite yet". You could see the upbeat in his face drain and he walks away. Once done with my Cauliflower, the waiter brings back my broccolini that was messed up. Half-size and not the full that he said I would get for the mix up on the ingredients. Once finished, we were asked if we wanted a dessert, we declined and just asked for our checks. He took our cards and was gone for about a solid 5 mins. Granted did come to us and inform us that all the systems were down. Once paid for, we left for Wendy's, to partake in the 2 for 5$ Grilled chicken sandwiches.
All in all the Veggies were great, the atmosphere was not my cup of tea, very loud and more sports bar-like. Was not all that impressed that the only Three POC were my Friend eating with me and 2 of the chefs. I mean if you like small plates of food, and pairing it with over 1000 different selections of wine, or alcohol this might be for you.
To the server Nick, do no assume someone is something, just because they asked for something without pork or cow in it. Also, try giving better suggestions for people with diet restrictions.
Love, The assumed Vegan :D
Did I take 10mins out of my day to write this, yes. Did I blast this place with a 1 start and hate mail, no. This is just my exp here. Do not tweet...
Read moreWe have been to unEine’d & Tap on Cedarcrest several times and most have been pretty good. The food has always been tasty. However, I can see why they were barely full on a Friday at 5:45, peak happy hour. Their service has continually gone down hill. First, our entrees came out on top of our soups, making it impossible to enjoy either because you were worried about them getting cold. And my husband’s raviolis were barely warm to begin with. Second, the plates sat on our table for far too long. Pre-bussing is essential for a pleasant dining experience. Third, for a restaurant that wants to serve brunch, but only has a Keurig machine, this is a big disappointment. If you sell dessert and brunch you need to sell coffee and hot tea, at the very least. They had no hot tea and apparently no hot water. The waitress did not put in my dessert, only my husband’s and never bothered to tell me that she could not get any hot water. So, my husband begrudgingly had to eat his dessert, while I had nothing. The manager could have cared less, and gave no offer to make it right. Either way, just sad and disappointing. Needless to say, we will not be back, even if the food is decent. I have no desire to have my evening meal ruined by...
Read moreFirst time going, it was busy however it wasn't overwhelmingly loud and you can still have a conversation. The group ordered a few bacon Tower things with a bunch of different dips and sauces with it, it was a really cool and interesting looking design to present thick cut bacon and to top it off it was really tasty too! I had the Angus sliders which had Gouda cheese and jalapeno slice on a pretzel bun, very good 👍. One of the other guys at the table got the chicken sliders and he said they were really good as well. I was quite surprised the french fries were that delicious, they're not your everyday typical fries. Awesome atmosphere, great decor only I would complain about would be the men's bathroom is not much bigger than a storage closet lol. The server was new but very polite and very sweet granted not all the food order went in at the same time and there was just a very little bit of confusion when french fries came out from my plate but no burgers yet and I didn't know if it was just a side order or if it came with my order so I said no it's not ours however I learned it was when my food came. It all...
