So Iāll paint a picture. Itās 5:40am on Friday 2/7/25. I walk into this Waffle House hungry and ready for a cup of coffee. Now when I walked in there was one patron waiting for a to go order and one patron already sat and eating his food. There was a cook and a server on staff. I sat down at a table and decided what I wanted as the server finished bagging up the to go order. When she got done she stood about 20 feet away from me with her left side facing me and an air pod in her left ear and very quietly asked me what I wanted. Thinking she was in the middle of something and would like to get my drink going I told her āIāll start with a cup of coffeeā. She said āhuh?ā, which she does after every time I said something to her. I repeat and also told her I donāt want cream but I want Splenda. She asks what else. I told her I wanted the two egg breakfast but I also wanted to add two eggs. āYou know that costs more right?ā Yep. I see all the signs and I watch the news. I specified I wanted white toast (because they carry other versions) āit comes with toastā. I am aware. Completed the rest of my order and she goes and tells the cook. All of this was done with a very snappy attitude from her. She brings my coffee and silverware, then she goes to get creamer and brings it to the table. I waited a couple of minutes and had to get up and go to the register to ask for the Splenda I had already requested. She hands it to me. I sit back down and prepare and start drinking my coffee. By the time she brings the food (which was phenomenal by the way, props to the cook) I had finished my coffee and sat the cup near the end of the table. She walks away, does some stuff at the front counter (now mind you all this time she keeps looking at something by the register and she would hang around the register, Iām assuming it is her phone) after a couple of minutes she comes back and puts the check on the table.. still not refilling my coffee. Everytime she comes by sheās in a hurry to get back to the register. I finally catch her attention and she refills my coffee. I finish my food, and write this review. All while she is still watching whatever it is by the register. For those who want to know, her name on the check says āTae Taeā. I couldnāt get a good enough look at her name tag because she would come by so quickly. If I ever come back here and she is working I will be sure to walk back out. I ordered 2 all star breakfast and the only difference between the 2 were the eggs and it just seems like they could not get it together back there, the restaurant had a few customers but not overly crowded that they were overwhelmed. There was some of the food that had to be repeated because they forgot to cook it and for the 30 bucks I had to pay I think my food should be done correctly without all the playing around they were doing. The young lady that helped me kept apologizing and I eventually got my food and before I left the parking lot I decided to check the waffles and one was a lot darker than the other so I took it back inside to get a new one, mind you I didn't give an attitude and just asked if I could get a new one. I could hear a couple of the employees saying that the waffle wasn't burnt ( a waffle takes 2 minutes to make š) and the main one talking wasn't even making the waffle and working the register. I get home and this is what I have( photos inserted) . Grits tasted greasy and burnt with that big lump in it and my waffle wasn't cooked all the way, I did make a video but it wouldn't load because it was too long. All of the staff were young except for one older woman who was very nice and the young lady that helped me was nice also but the manager was right there and didn't try to acknowledge anything that was going on or even apologize. Ordered Togo, bacon egg and cheese on grilled raisin plate and a Tx bacon Chicken Melt plate scattered Well. Hashbrowns were RAW only cooked on one side, bacon on both sandwiches was RAW. Sandwiches were mushy even though we had placed the order only 10 mins before. Took the plates back for a recook. Grill operator was eating in front of the grill, the grill was disgusting, no apron and crocs on his feet and no hair net! Eggs were on top of the grill that was marked 10-2 (it was 7pm). 2nd shift eggs should always be in the fridge at a LOW volume store. I should have just gotten my money back right then. Pulled chicken and immediately put a weight on it. He cooked the meal without a word since the minute I walked in. He then proceeded to cut our sandwiches with the grill scraper that he had just scraped the grill with! I took the food and left, took it home and fed it to my dogs!
