Waffle House — Restaurant in Georgia

Food was cooked well and place was clean- 3 stars. Waitress had the personality of a tree stump and the ticket was under priced. Would’ve gave her the heads up her math was incorrect so her drawer didn’t come up short but after the cold service from someone I know definitely works for tips you would think a little more outgoing customer engagement would be the ticket but nah….ticket reflected $17 and change. I gave my wife a $20 and a $50 and said if we are missing something here or she figures it out then pay with the $50 because 2 ppl can’t hardly eat out for less than $25 especially since I had the T bone dinner but if she doesn’t realize then you know what, she should be more on the ball at work. She also made sure to tell us if we needed anything just give her a holler. Now restaurant is mostly empty. A couple people came in after us. She’s standing up there waiting on the cook to get ready so that she can call in a order to him. It’s obvious he isn’t ready and working on something else so I say “excuse me” can I get a grape jelly? She nods her head in agreement but then proceeds to wait for the cook instead of simply grabbing me a grape jelly and walk it 5 feet over to the table for me. I sit there with toast in hand and no jelly for 3-4 more minutes. I’m the end my wife felt sorry for her when she said “ That will be $17.??” She simply handed over the smaller bill and told her “you can keep the change”. I left a dollar bill on the table as well. Came in after work on 9/11/23 around 8:20 PM. The supposed night shift manager or supervisor started yelling at my server across the restaurant and other customers because he was on a phone call, that being said before I had walked in there weren’t any customers in the store. My service was beyond amazing and I commend my server, I’m fairly regular and this guy was awesome! That “manager” whose name I believe was Louis or something like that is an embarrassment to the establishment yelling at my server and interrupting my meal and the meal of other customers in the store. I’ve been frequenting this stop recently and I’ve seen him do it more than once and that’s just unacceptable, yet to see him do any real work outside of yelling at his coworkers. Don’t think I’ll be back anytime soon. Can’t believe that they let people like him...

Horrible service. First try , it was the middle of the day all seats where dirty only two booths were taken. We sat there 45 minutes being ignored until we finally left... Second time got seated.. asked for a burger without cheese.. took 5 minutes to understand a order that is exactly the same as the picture minus the cheese. Didn't think much of it but asked asked for lettuce and tomato kindly to with our burger when it arrived totally plain... Got rewarded with a nasty attitude and no refills the entire meal while our server played in her book and ignored us trying to grab her attention. I am not one to leave bad reviews but there is no excuse for this behavior. Save your time and money and go to a different waffle house if you want...
