We arrived at the restaurant at 6:00pm to get a pizza. We ordered a medium pepperoni pizza. We waited for 30 minutes, patiently. We sat as people got their orders. We watched 3 tables get their pizza before us that ordered the same order as us.
I requested that the server take the pizza off of the bill. He was VERY polite. He went up to the owner to ask for it to be removed and the owner BLEW up on this young man. I sat and watched the server get obliterated in front of his coworkers and the patrons in the small restaurant.
The owner then took his hat off, came around the corner and straight to our table. He was speaking so aggressively and loud that it was almost like he was lecturing us for not wanting to purchase a pizza we never got. We werenāt upset or rude. The owner then put his hands in our face and we asked him to stop. He stated we were extremely rude and it was fine for us not to come back. We donāt want to go back.
I know if this young manās parents seen him how he was disrespected, they would snatch the owner a new one. I would discourage anyone from eating at this establishment and discourage anyone from working with this guy. They may treat people like this in his country of origin but not in US southern states.
I will say the owner said he would take the pizza off of the bill and we could still take it but at that point, I didnāt want to eat something from this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is a review I hope actually helps this place and people who look for good restaurant experiences in general, and I realize how presumptuous that sounds. I plan to come back and try the pizza, which really is the bottom line, and will adjust my stars accordingly. For now, people who have the power to do so, please do what you can to even out the lighting, and stop using the torturously glaring tubes you have in that one spot near the kitchen, and also, please get a remotely halfway decent beer selection in place. Why fall for Red Oakās distribution bullying, like so many places who donāt understand beer? You have two beers on tap, one of which is Red Oakās sweaty-boot-tasting mess, and only two bottle choices beyond that, one of which is Red Oak. Maybe your clientele doesnāt care about beer? Youād know better than old Bobby here, but if Gibsonville and the entertainment spots in Gibsonville are smart about their long-term future, theyāll always be thinking about ways to position themselves for long-term success. This place is in a great spot and can do great things moving...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI don't eat Italian very often, but this place hit the spot. I've gotten a grilled chicken sandwich with an extra chicken breast on the side and a slice or two of pepperoni pizza both times I've been here, and they're both outstanding.
The pizzas I've gotten are large, thin, New York style pizzas with magnificent cheese pulls. The crust is crispy on the outside but fresh and light on the inside with plenty of flavor. Typically, because I try to be calorie conscious and track my macros pretty closely, I put my crust to the side to leave room for more of the good stuff, but Reno's makes it a worthwhile part of the meal to me.
I don't think grilled chicken is a very typical order from an Italian restaurant, but Reno's has perfected theirs beyond many actual chicken restaurants. The chicken sandwich is delicious and they don't skimp on the meat. I typically order mine with sauteed onions and mushrooms on top to increase the volume and flavor of the meal while only adding a handful...
