Wine Down Lounge — Restaurant in Gilbert

Substandard customer service received by owner.

I stopped by for a drink while my phone was getting repaired a few stores down. Instead of a greeting I was greeted by "here for an interview?" by the owner. In which I replied "no, I am here for a drink". The owner responded "oh okay, my wife will be right out to help you". I proceeded to sat at the bar while he continued in an ongoing interview. Mind you, there was only 2 other people dining in at 5pm. I sat there for at least 10 min without anyone acknowledging me. The waitress who was serving the already dining couple also didn't acknowledge my presence and instead went to the back to continue an ongoing conversation. Out of patience I got up and left and the cherry on top is that the owner said "thanks for stopping by".

To the owner if, you're reading this , I encourage you to take a hard lesson in...

A nice, cozy place to get a drink. There is a good selection of wine and food. I wish they had more local wines on the menu. The vibe was romantic with dim lights and acoustic versions of pop songs playing at a low volume. An ad did come a few times when I was in there which I thought was kinda funny. The wait staff was really nice and attentive. I never went to the place that was here before this but from pictures I've seen online, it seems...

We've been to this place a few times now and I can say that service, food, wine, and atmosphere are all very consistent and fabulous! Strongly recommend the charcuterie boards and wine flights. And don't forget to say hi to Katie who is working her tush off behind the bar. She makes sure everyone has everything they need and is on top of it! Raving raving review!...
