China Lily — Restaurant in Gladstone

Stopped here to get supper after a day long drive. We just wanted something to get quick and take back to our hotel room then relax. They were pretty busy with carry-out orders but we were in and out in about 10 minutes. No language barrier. The girl working the counter was easy to talk to. My wife had her pot stickers go-to. They were as good as the best we’ve ever had. Although the sesame sauce was more sweet than other places. I had an order of shrimp Lo-Mein and they don’t skimp on the shrimp. They’re medium to large size and there’s plenty of them. The Lo-Mein had a little more oil in it than I’m used to but it was still a tasty dish. If we were ever back in the area we would go...

I was unable to get through on the phone to place an order for pick-up, so I drove over to the restaurant & was able to immediately place my order at the front counter. It was my niece’s birthday & this place came highly recommended. We ordered the following: egg rolls, crab rangoon, vegetable lo mein, sweet & sour chicken, orange chicken & beef & broccoli. With tip, I spent $70 & our order was ready in 10 minutes. However, our food was not impressive at all. I’m not sure what the hype is about this place, but the best thing we ate was the egg roll. OMG‼️ We moved here from Chicago suburbs and have not had 5 star ⭐️ quality prepared food since leaving. We had, salt and pepper shrimp, General Taos beef and beef teriyaki appetizer. The portions were large and expertly prepared. We live in Marinette Wi. and only have Kings for “OK” Chinese. I can only tell you that this is worth the hour drive. Going again today.
