Wish I could give five or four stars because the food and ice cream is great, unfortunately the service is the worst in the entire area especially for people with takeout orders. My mother used to make me go here to get us food and despite only getting food for two people it was practically impossible to take it back, for one thing rather than have an employee up front constantly taking orders, they would take an order then go make other stuff so if there was even two people in front of me I’d have to stand in line for 20+ minutes. Absolutely ridiculous. Furthermore they don’t accommodate their customers for takeout, I once ordered two hot chocolates and they didn’t even have LIDS for them, completely ridiculous I have to bring them back without a LID and sure enough one spilled all over my car seat. After that I refuse to step foot in there I’ll order it on doordash but I won’t step foot in that place, it’s not designed to be busy at all and the owners set up of taking one order then jumping into work rather than have someone up front taking orders is ridiculous. I’ve also had rather rude service the last time I was in there the girl shouted at the top of her lungs that my malt was ready and when I said thank you she didn’t even say anything or smile or nothing. The crew this year have really turned our past experiences around. They are the most accommodating, sweet, and understanding girls we’ve come across in the food industry. My son has a severe peanut allergy which makes most ice cream shops a big no go.

The girls this year have gone above and beyond to keep him safe and have shown a great amount of education on food allergy safety. From cleaning the soft serve nozzles to wiping the tables down fresh for us, I cannot say enough good.

I’ve also been there multiple times when the lines are long and most would start to get a little flustered or irritable. These girls have not once had a sour attitude- so props to the management for that!

Stopping at Gladstone Dairy Flo after we leave the beach or are running errands in Gladstone is quickly becoming a family tradition. There is something for everyone, whether you're looking for something sweet, need a hearty lunch during the workday, or just want to grab a snack like the mac and cheese bites. My little ones adore the specialty sundaes like the narwhal sundae or the muddy puddles sundae. I love that I can take my large family out for a treat without breaking the bank because the prices are affordable. I just tried the pumpkin cheesecake polar freeze today, and the size of the cheesecake pieces are impressive. I have my doubts I'll be able to finish it all. I can't wait to try the apple cider...
