Poor customer service. Among the worst. I do not write reviews of this nature lightly. This is consistent with their escanaba location as well where a young girl appeared to have her boyfriend in the shop. She wasn't interested in service, but instead to slap together a mess called a "sub" and get on with her life.
Gladstone's clerk was so unprofessional I called and requested management in an effort to make them aware. I gave up after being hung up on twice. Once by the individual and a second time by the "manager on duty". The sandwich in this case was good, but that's only half their battle.

I order the BLT mostly, and a few times, the bacon hadn't been thoroughly cooked, and also seemed like the grease wasn't fully absorbed before placing it on the sub, because the bottom bun was saturated with it. I also get the nacho and cheese, and most times the cheese is placed on the side, but lately, despite requesting it on the side, its been placed directly on the chips, which are to soggy to eat by the time I'm home. I would still recommend this place, just be crystal clear on how you wish to have your food when you...
Read moreD & M Subs personnel create real subs that taste like the that were made when subs first came to the Midwest from New York City in the 60's. D & M's subs are so superior to the bastardized abominations produced by employees who are focused on how much time is left to the end of their shift. D & M employees focus on great food and great service. I can wholeheartedly recommend the restaurant and their employees.
Unfortunately it's a three hour drive from my home to Gladstone, MI so I don't get the sub sandwiches that remind me of Suburbia in Milwaukee in the 60's as often as...
