The first issue is I mistakenly forgot to order my chicken sandwiches plain. So when we got to the window to pay we mentioned that we forgot that and would like to have it that way. The guy who took our card got pissy that we had requested that, like it was an inconvenience to ask. After handing us our card back, we never got a receipt, so we figured it would be in the bag. Then he kept ignoring us when we would ask for mustard. So when he handed us our food we asked for it and ketchup. He only handed us 2 things of mustard and when we asked for more he once again got every pissy that we had bothered to ask. Not to mention he didn’t give us our receipt. When we got back and started to get the food out to eat, I noticed that we were missing his burger. So I called up there. The guy on the phone got pissy that I had asked to speak to a manager. He kind of slammed the phone down when he went to get the manager and it took them 5-10 minutes just to get a manager. The manager on the phone was Paul, he was very rude when I tried to express how upset I was about this. Told me if I didn’t calm down he would have to hang up. You don’t tell a customer that. So I explained again and he seemed annoyed that I called and just said to come get the sandwich. When I expressed that we didn’t have time to do that he said that he would just put us in the books to get another one. My boyfriend risked being late because he didn’t want them to just make away with my money since they weren’t going to do anything about the issue. And when he asked to speak to Paul, he wouldn’t even come up to the front to speak to him. What kind of manager doesn’t speak to upset customers? I don’t feel like my concern was approached in...
Read moreAbout every morning during my work week I go through the drive thru for a quick bite to eat. Some days I go for lunch as well. This location is close to my place of employment as well as my home. You have a person working there named Sally. Time after time, she comes off rude and very condescending. When I learned that this person is a manager, I was absolutely blown away If I hear her sarcastic "have a nice day" one more time, I may scream. Rarely do I get a total for my order at the ordering screen. this is quite frustrating. I have shopped at many other Wendy's locations and this store has so many issues it is unreal. I will stop visiting this Wendy's for my morning option. It wouldn't be as bad paying nearly $4.00 for a breakfast sandwich or nearly $3.00 for a biscuit with gravy IF it was coupled with great service, but with Sally, that may never happen. If I order "biscuit and gravy, she corrects me and says " you mean a gravy biscuit"...really? Just very unhappy with this person at this store, there are others, believe me, but this one is the worst offender.
In this area, there are many other places to get a breakfast item. But as for me, I am out on this Wendy's location. In my younger day, I managed a very popular fast food place. This person Sally, would never have been considered for management. Period.
What you need in that store is a cheerful, polite, pleasant person who is friendly and gets to know the regulars. It makes people feel special. A great smile and sincere thank you will go a very long way to a customer so they feel important. What you need is someone who can motivate the crew to clean up the place, make it fun in the fast...
Read moreWell, this is the third time we've had a bad experience at the Gladstone Wendy's location, and we're through! I had previously voiced our most recent order being messed up for a second time in a row. The store's general manager called me back on August 16th to discuss the matter. I told her of the previous two orders were messed up and how the customer service there has went downhill in the last few months. She apologized and offered to give me a free meal anytime. Today my family and I went through the drive thru and ordered food for all of us, and mentioned the free meal. The young man at the window didn't know about it and asked us to pull around which we understood. We get to the window and he asked us to clarify, so I mentioned that the general manager called me a little over a week ago and said I would have a free meal under my name any time. He asked the store manager (I think he said Mohammed) to come to the window. I repeated for a third time that there was a free meal under my name. He became very suspicious and started asking me to recite the original order number, and when did this happen, etc. I said I don't remember that off the top of my head. He said if we wanted to settle the matter that I had to come inside and smirked at us. That Gladstone manager has the worst customer service, and is running off customers with his attitude. I told him to just cancel the entire order. I said that we had we had been patient and polite repeating ourselves multiple times, but now we're done. He said "don't be like that". We drove off without our food and went to Burger King to order food instead....
