Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Glasgow

YOU HAVE TO DOUBLE CHECK YOUR ORDER!! 😭 My family & I have eaten here many times over the last several years; however it seems they're having problems with being able to keep decent help. The last few times I've been there these are some of the things that have happened: 1) My order was processed incorrectly, my pizza didn't have the ordered ingredients. 2) I was trying to get a receipt for my purchase but I had to talk to 3 different people to get my receipt. The cashier was LOOPY & DITSY unable to follow even the simplest instructions resulting in my having to talk to 2 others to get my receipt. 3) FINALLY got my receipt but it had the WRONG NAME & WASN'T EVEN MY ORDER!! 😖 REALLY GLAD I CHECKED IT BEFORE WALKING OUT THE DOOR. 4) Even when ordering ahead 20-25 minutes resulted in me having to stand & wait to receive my food. 5) They've tried to charge me for ingredients that WERE NOT on my pizza but had been ordered to be included on my pizza. Folks, this seems to be an almost epidemic problem nowadays; however I've noticed OTHER RESTAURANTS I've been to have risen to the occasion & still provide EXCELLENT SERVICE. This is a legitimate review, from someone who worked closely with the store owner in a bigger town. The pizzas are alright, definitely don’t come close to what was expected from John Schnatter. We have ordered multiple times and here are common issues I am seeing from this location.

Pizza/cheese stick cutting is bad, as in I have to rip the slices apart and they don’t even tear along the “cut” lines. Multiple times this has been true. Solution would be to cut harder or order a new pizza cutter.

The crust border is always irregular. The sauce and cheese sometimes are way too close to the center or it’s expanded to where there’s hardly any crust.

Cheese sticks cheese is not evenly distributed and the butter amount seems far less than what should be on there. As in we had a solid 2 inch border on the edges that didn’t have cheese.

Customer service has always been good.

Ordered $55.00 worth of pizza and cheesesticks on a Saturday afternoon. Online order said 30 to 40 minute pick-up time. Staff have no control over this... walked in after 40 minutes and the order was not ready. Staff visibly stressed but maintaining composure. Cashier was very apologetic that it was going to be several more minutes before my order was done. Meanwhile the place was filling with not so happy customers. Most of them just had grumpy looks on their faces but you could see no one was happy. Staff continued to work hard to get orders into the oven and treated each customer very well despite complaints they had no control over. Pizzas were cooked perfectly and they threw in extra sides for our inconvenience. Not once did I hear any of the Staff complain because they were overwhelmed.
