New to the area and was excited to see this place in town! Inread the reviews and paitently waited and finally we were intown and decided to do dinner. Love Hibachi & sushi. I've been to many in multiple states, it's a favorite. We go up to the ones in Elizabethtown & Louisville and were happy to see one in Glasgow. Wow, so dissappinted with this. I just can't get over it. We will NOT be back. I am not one to leave bad reviews and usually try a place multiple times, because things happen. However...
Service was good, very attentive & nice.
The restaraunt interior was a bit dingy for lack of a better explanation...clean enough but that is it. certainly not what I was expecting. Maybe that's on me, maybe I expecting too much? It certainly isn't what Ive been to for a Japanese Hibachi restaraunt.
The salad was adequate but there was too much water in the lettuce which made the dressing too too watered down that I couldn't really taste the dressing to know if it was good. It did LOOK good though.
My sushi was TERRIBLE! I don't think there was even any fish, definatly not spicy (spicy tuna) and too too too much tempura. So much on top I couldn't find the fish, it was so bland and dry - turns out the rationed the fish inside too by adding....more tempura flakes! There was hardly any sauce, which just added to the dryness & blandness to this fishless roll. I couldn't even finish it...what, me not finish sushi - no...never...but sadly, yes. It just wasn't good and the lack of fish was not what I paid money for! Beyond dissapointed, I felt robbed.I should have asked for my money back but I am not the type to do that, ever. Someone took thoer time to prepare & serve it......however we both agreed after that maybe we should have.
My husband's Hibachi steak...was cooked ok, sauce was ok...but it was not steak, it was really more of a roast meat, and a grainy meat at that.
The rice was ok... but could be better, flavorless & a bit dry too. Nedless to say we didnt finish that either.
The vegetables were cooked well and were the better part of our meal!
I will say the soup we had with dinner was very good! Best part of the meal for sure. I would come back for that.
I hate to leave bad reviews, truely I do. We hated to even "waste the calories" so to say (LOL) on this one, and our "dinner" night out..... we will...
Read moreCan't even rate the food. Would have loved to try it. We sat down. The place is very very small, not many tables. They WERE NOT busy at all. The place had 4 other tables with people eating, 2 of which were finishing up. They had 2 servers. Ours came and got our drink orders. We could have ordered our food when she brought the drinks, or at least an appetizer, but she sat them down and walked away. So the wait began. She brought the food to the table next to ours. Then walked away. She stood at the register, made eye contact a couple times, still did not come to take our order. She then goes to cash out a table in the back. Okay, cool, I'm thinking we will finally be able to order. Nope, she takes their change and continues to talk to them. Okay, she knows them and is just visiting. That's okay, we will be next. My husband actually says if she starts cleaning that table off after she finishes talking to them we can leave. Well, guess what she started cleaning the table off. We are sitting in a now almost empty restaurant and our order hasn't been taken. I will never go back just due to an inexperienced server who doesnt know when you're supposed to take someone's food order. This was 20 minutes of sitting and just hoping maybe we could at least order...
Read moreHonestly have no idea how anyone can review higher than this. We have frequented this business numerous times over the past few years because we thought it was the only Japanese steakhouse near to us. We were wrong. However, we stopped coming here after taking the family (9 of us) inside to eat and everything was dirty- cups, dinnerware, the place itself. Our orders were wrong. There is a difference between "beef" or "steak" and filet mignon. And there is a reason people pay for it. The staff admitted they gave us the wrong meat, fixed it- that took almost an hour. The tab/ticket was wrong. Every time we've been here- there is a problem. And for the life of me, when we left we always said "why did we go back!? We said we would never go back". Guess we finally learned our lesson from the mold on all the cups. Anyway, after several months later we found our that there is another japanese steakhouse in town and is far superior in cleanliness, fresh food, prices, just everything. Don't waste your time or money until these people clean up their unsanitary place and utensils and get some things right. Too much money to be throwing away to end up getting ill-...
