Hungry Howie's Pizza — Restaurant in Glendale

I’m a bit hesitant to give this place such a low rating as I know the following isn’t really the restaurant or owner’s fault, but the delivery driver there is quite awful at customer service. Each time that I’ve ordered from here, it’s been the same driver, and he always asks me or the person receiving the pizza how much change they want back after they are done paying him for the pizza. This baffles me because the driver should always simply return the change in full, allowing the customer to decide whether or not he/she wants to tip the driver. Not in this case. He won’t return the change to you until you give him an answer. You pretty much have to tell him “Give me my exact change back,” or calculate it in your head and then tell him the amount you’re supposed to be getting back. I am sure that more often than not, the customer feels pressured by having to calculate the amount in their head and will thus tell the driver to just keep the change. That’s not cool at all. If that’s the case, it’s just a sad way to get undeserving tips without having to put in the effort to actually provide outstanding service. Not only this, but on multiple occasions, I have recalled having Howie Bread or the cookie dessert included in my order, and I never receive it. I’ve ordered from this place about 4 times, and all of those times, I ordered a side. I never received the side any of those times. I have actually called the store about this, but the only thing they can do is add a coupon to my account for a free desert/side on my NEXT order. Ordered online at 6:52 PM for dinner and we have guest and party at home. They took payment plus delivery charge off my debit card. Their online system track says it's still making it!! Ridiculous for 2 hours wait. I called their store, not a single soul would like to pick-up the phone and the recording just keeps saying things over and over again!!! This is the worse ordering experience we ever had! We could have ordered pizza in some place and avoid this nightmare! It was 9:05 PM that evening and the party is almost over neither a call from Hungry Howie and not a crumb of pizza ever delivered to our home. It's embarrassing. The following day, they opened 45 minutes late versus what's indicated on their website and I have to go to their store personally and complained about their service from last night and asked for a refund for my undelivered pizza. The crew were so unfriendly, snapped and turned around. These female server needs to be trained in customer service since these two ladies in there were rude and the tech guy shunned us and said you can get your refund in 10 days!!! We are elderly people, and so as to avoid the stark rudeness of these people, we simply turned around and avoided this place leaving a bad reputation of a multi-corporation giant tainted by employees who needs to care the needs of their customer in return for giving...

Ordered delivery. Said it would take 40 minutes. After waiting 1 hr. & 15 minutes, I called the store. Alex answered the phone. First he told me he had no record of my order. Then, he found the order and said it was ready within 10 minutes and they were simply waiting for a driver. He stated he had no way of contacting Door Dash. I asked to have the order canceled. NOTE: He said it would take 2-5 business days to receive my refund. You better believe I will be checking and if not received within 5 business days, I will be contacting my credit card company! I then asked for his name and he attempted to say it quickly thinking I wouldn't understand him, then he hung up the phone. Save your time and money and steer clear of this location.
