Horrible customer service. The details of the incident that I had doesn't matter. Basically, the manager has an attitude. Pizza is good, but I will never patronize a company that doesn't value their customer. The manager at this restaurant does not value her customer.
Once I got home, I got a call from the owner who appoligize for their online ordering system being down and how that affected my order. I appreciated that he called but he was malnformed. I explained that I called the store to order and that the reason I was upset was how I was treated by the manager. Initially, he tried to justify the manager's actions because it was a busy afternoon. I reminded him that she is his manager and should be able to treat their customers well whether she's busy, the systems go down or things are going smoothly. He then agreed and apologized. He then told me the manager wanted to give me something but I didn't give her time to. I reminded him that there was no way the manager was offering me anyting by the way she was speaking to me. He then apologized again and asked if he could offer me a discount for the next time I order. There may be a next time only because I've had their pizza and it is good. The fact that he called even though he had no idea what happened makes me think he cares enough to take the time to call. I admire that. Read moreI waited an hour and fifteen minutes for a large pizza before I called and asked where the delivery was. It was Saturday night, it could've been busy, and I understood that, but if it were busy, I would've appreciated correspondence telling me so. When I called I was told, "oh, it's on its way." I again called 25 minutes later after not receiving the delivery. I told them that I had been waiting an hour and 35 minutes for my delivery and the employee said I would need to speak with a manager. I waited on hold for five minutes to speak with him. In the meantime, the delivery guy called and asked me how to get to my door. I met him, and took the pizza. Two minutes later, another deliver guy called saying he was trying to find my door. I told him it was just delivered. He said, "oh, okay, is it the right pizza?" It was. I should've asked to exchange it because the pizza we received was absolutely cold, but after waiting an hour and 45 minutes for a pizza, I was done. I'm not upset about the delivery time. I'm upset with the lack of correspondence and seemingly unorganized management. I don't want anything free, I don't want coupons, I don't need correspondence. Ordered their triple pepperoni Detroit style and their hand tossed Super Special pizza, basically their supreme. Figured I'd try their signature Detroit style pizza and a regular hand tossed, so I could compare to other pizza chains.
Their hand tossed pizza was so disappointing as it looked like it was lightly cooked instead of well done like I had requested. Veggies looked barely cooked and in terms of taste, the pizza seriously reminded me of a undercooked frozen pizza. Not sure if this was the norm or the cook just goofed up on this, but definitely not worth the $18 for this one. In my opinion, the worst hand style pizza that I've tried from a chain.
The Detroit style pizza on the other hand was awesome. Cooked well done as requested and it had a great crust, crunchy bottom, yet still fluffy when you bite into it. Considering Jets is known for their Detroit style pizza, it did not disappoint at all. Will definitely order this again.
Overall, price is on the higher side for a chain, but if you're a fan of Detroit style pizza, I'd recommend trying...
