How would I describe my experience yesterday at Jimbo’s. …? Awful, over priced, unsanitary, and lazy employees. We ordered food and they literally got the 3/4 foods wrong after going to ring it in and clarifying 3 times while interrupting us. The bathrooms were DISGUSTING. The service was terrible. They Gave my pregnant girlfriend a raw patty with a brown seered outside. Probably 100-120 degrees inside and obviously pink. We paid for the entire meal. We then left because we were horrified about the way the staff reacted when we told the members of the staff that this burger was pink. (They slapped it back on the grill about 3/4 eaten. The waitress then returned with her food and said “it’s a different bun, but same meat”. We pain for the whole meal - even after mistake, after mistake. It was honestly quite embarrassing. We even asked for a water no lemon when we arrived and they couldn’t even get that right. After we left my girlfriend threw it up in the Albertsons across the street 4 minutes later. We called them to let them know she got food poisoning and to check their food. They were so rude over the phone and completely blew off the obvious concern of food safety and after asking different ways were told “yeah you can keep calling and you’ll get someone eventually” when we asked about speaking to talk to a manager. We drove right back across the street after this wild call, and confronted the two employees. We are greeted with both of them rolling their eyes, the kitchen manager responds with “that’s how we do medium” …. no sir. You shouldn’t be dealing with food and that’s not anyway to respond to someone who just threw up a couple of minutes ago from YOUR FOOD. They also responded like “you didn’t ask for a new burger”, no because I asked for a cooked burger in the first place, so I would expect a different one.The waitress and the cook kept blaming eachother. “I didn’t take down your order”, “ I didn’t cook your food”, “I didn’t answer the phone” frankly IDGAF. YOURE A BUSINESS. ACT LIKE IT AND TAKE SOME ACCOUNTABILITY FOR FEEDING RAW MEAT TO MY GIRLFRIEND. Then when my girlfriend reached out the owner had the audacity to say “she watched HOURS” of footage. You’re INSANE if you think that matters at all. You’re telling that your restaurant has so many issues cooking and sanitation that you have cameras POINTED AT THE GRILLS?!?! That’s insane. We would appreciate an apology for the way we were treated and we would like our meal refunded.
Don’t eat here. This place is ridiculous and overpriced for the service you get.
I look forward to...
Read moreFOOD POISONING- STAY AWAY!! They denied allowing me to contact a manager. I am 21 weeks pregnant and they served me a rare UNDERCOOKED burger that was only cooked on the outside and was still raw on the inside. I am 21 weeks pregnant and told them I had to have a medium burger. After consuming 5-6 bites I noticed the texture was off and way too cold/mushy. My boyfriend checked the burger patty using his flashlight app on his phone (as the place was so dark you couldn’t see the color without normal lighting) and it was actually red- raw meat red. I told the waitress and she took the burger to the cook/bar manager. They placed my bitten on burger patty back on the grill, cooked it for a few more minutes, then placed it on a new bun to try and hide it was the SAME patty I had consumed previously. They decided to serve it back to me and the waitress said we got you a new bun, but, it’s the same patty. I was absolutely disgusted and did not eat the burger they gave back to me. They placed my bitten on patty with my saliva on the grill where they were currently cooking other people’s food and gave it back to me. I left the bar and threw up within MINUTES of leaving the establishment. When I called in to let them know I threw up from consuming their food, the waitress told me there was nothing more she could do for me. She was rude, did not offer me a refund, didn’t care at all that I was given food poisoning, and denied my request to speak to the manager. I went back to the establishment to speak to them in person and the bar manager/cook told me he serves his medium burgers red and that he recooked my burger patty and gave it right back to me. When I told him that was against health codes and was disgusting he told me since I didn’t ask for a new burger he didn’t give me one and that he felt it was okay because he cleaned the grill afterwards. They didn’t care I was puking and had stomach pains from their food or that I was 21 weeks pregnant and food illness such as food poisoning could harm my baby. I’ve been vomiting ever since I left and have stomach pains and cramps. This place...
Read moreFor the record, I have been a patron of this establishment long before the flat screen televisions and everything else for the better part of twenty years!!! I was there the other day with a long time friend having drinks. I got tired of the service after about twenty five minutes of having an empty stein glass and sitting behind the bar. I stepped foot across the bar with wanting our bill with credit card in my hand and was promptly "chewed out" by our waitress followed by the bouncer as to why I stepped foot behind the bar. All I wanted was our bill because I got tired of the service.
To add insult to injury the waitress approached me a short time after wanting to know if I needed a cab ride because I did what I did by stepping across the bar area. I am a forty year old man with gray hair and and gray beard. Do I need to say more??
Be careful of this place if there is a sporting event or a UFC fight taking place in addition to the weekend!!! I liked Jimbo's when this was a establishment that catered to local customers and frequent flyers not to mention this place will "ALWAYS" be a local establishment in the west side of town located in a strip mall not to mention there are ample establishments a rock throw away. The free breakfast and free chicken wings during happy hour was always a draw for most if not all patrons, but not worth the aggravation of having the bar staff "flip out" of pass judgement of local patrons that just wanted to pay their bill.
I am very much old school in the way I deal with people not to mention I have been nothing but cordial in dealing with our waitress up to the point I have mentioned above. Knowing what I know now, I will take my...
