My family has been eating at this location for the past 7 years since we moved to the area. We had 2 children then and have 6 now so the occasional ice cream treat is essential to beat the heat. In the last year I have noticed the great experiences we used to have are no longer here. Our order is rarely correct, the coke that was always perfect is hardly ever drinkable, the ice cream machine is always broken (in the last 3 months on approximately 15 visits...broken, its summertime people!) the French fries are not hot and crispy anymore (usually seem like they are fried twice and soaked through) and the food in general is very inconsistent. Tonight, however, I experienced my last time at this 43rd Ave and Glendale location....I ordered 2 number 2 meals with large cokes and 5 cheeseburgers. We made it thru the drive thru and arrived home. To our surprise the coke was just right, the kids cheeseburgers and fries great, both Quarter pounders were completely raw!! I quickly called the location and the young lady that answered the phone apologized and asked if I was coming back to the restaurant to get a new order, I responded yes and went on my way. When I arrived, the same young lady from the phone, greeted me and alerted the alleged manager of the situation and proceeded to throw away the bag of raw food without even opening it to verify the cook had made an error. I stopped her and let the "manager" kknow that she needed to see what her staff had served a customer so that the individuals could be held accountable for the undercooked food and possible Salmonella poisoning. She glanced at the raw meat and promptly instructed the young girl to throw it away. The female manager then started punching in the remake order in the POS system and made a note for both burgers to be cooked "well done" which I did NOT ask for but I figured at least this way I won't get sick. Just 10 minutes later she served me the 2 quarter pounders and fresh fries for the inconvenience. I proceeded to check the meat only to discover they were again not cooked well. As she tried cooking a 3rd set of burgers other patrons were coming in who had gone thru the drive thru and recieved the same raw burgers. Also people at the counter were disappointed as they were told there was no ice cream. I did here a female employee tell a Male employee that nobody cleaned the ice cream machine the night before and that it was all left there and used all day today until about 7:30pm. Now I'm glad the ice cream machine was down because it would probably make anyone very sick that ate it. The 3rd set of burgers were finally done and adequately cooked and the young girl put 2 apple pies in the bag and apologized for the wait. By this time the coke I left at home was watered down and my wife was past hungry as her and my burgers had taken so long. We ate the burgers and now cold fries and drank the watered down cokes. We opened the apple pies to discover they are stone cold and one is raw! Sadly, I will never come here again as this location has lost my very frequent business due to its lack of performance. I wish I would have taken pictures of the burgers but here the pies for...
Read moreSo tonight is the second night that ive gone for coffee and they told me they can’t serve me coffee.. Last night, I swung by there to get a cuppa coffee and the lady told me that they are out of coffee, they are out of regular and decaf coffee. So I asked her if they are out of stock or they just haven’t rude anymore. Then she began to tell me that they only serve coffee up to 11 PM , and this was probably a little after 11. So, I left and got my cuppa coffee at the McDonald’s by 19th and Northern. OK so I go to 43rd and Glendale McDonald’s again tonight get there about 10:30 PM before work. Try to order a cup of coffee and the guy tells me that they don’t make coffee at this time of night, so I told him that every other McDonald’s I go to serves me coffee why is it only this location? Then he tells me that it should be at all locations. So then he starts to tell me that the reason why they can’t serve me because the coffee pots are dirty the night before the lady had said the coffee pots were clean and they were out of coffee. So I don’t understand either. The coffee pots are clean, either coffee pots are dirty, either you’re out of both regular and decaf coffee or you’re just too lazy to make some. I get it it’s nighttime but I’m getting ready to head to work and I want a cuppa coffee and I was even gonna buy maybe some pies something but I’m always getting denied at this location for a cuppa coffee. Maybe put a sign on the menu that says coffee is only served between this time and this time just like I feel like when they’re only accepting cash. They should put a sign up that says cash only after certain time because once you get in that line and you go to order and a ton of people pull up behind you. This is that all the locations, they need to have a light that lights up that says cash only or something because once you pull in and people pull up behind you, you’re stuck you’re waiting to get out if you don’t have a little side road to sneak out on. All I want is my coffee, you know I’m tired of this location 43rd and Glendale always lying to me or making up some excuse. I guess I just got a travel the distance to get a cuppa coffee since this location just doesn’t seem to want to brew it. But if you’re serving everything else, I don’t see why you can’t just serve coffee. But shout out to the McDonald’s on 19th and Northern because the lady there said they’ll make coffee anytime and night morning whatever as long as the customer orders it and they’re a paying customer they’ll make the coffee and that’s what I like shout out to them. I never have a problem at that McDonald’s I appreciate them 18th & Northern McDonald’s Way to go guys...
Read moreI went through the drive-thru, and as I was giving my order, the woman taking it seemed very much in a rush and eager for me to finish, which made me feel pressured to give my order. Regardless, I ordered two Sausage and Egg McMuffins for the 2 for $4 special which after taxes came out to less than $5. On my mobile app, I had a coupon to get a $1 off of a breakfast sandwich which I wanted to apply to the order. When I told the cashier about the coupon, she went ahead and scanned it and my total changed to a more expensive $6.93! After paying it, I was confused as to why the total had drastically changed. Upon my own realization, the coupon charged me for the sandwiches at regular price and then took a dollar off of a sandwich. The cashier failed to realize the price difference (or perhaps, was too lazy to let me know about the price change since it's not her money that's being spent), so I went inside to get a refund because my appetite had diminished. I got my refund back (at the reluctance of management), and what I found comical was the fact that he made me throw away the food since he couldn't "take food over the counter." Yet, he could have tossed it away into the trash can right by him that he threw a Shamrock Shake into because it was too liquidy after openly admitting that it was the machine's fault for making the shakes too liquidy because of the consistency of the syrup. Not coming to this McDonald's...
