This was our first time here and we generally liked it and we plan to come back in the future. We had triple cheese burgers, patty melt, regular fries, OG fries and the cookies. Their best item was definitely the cheese burger. There was not much to address regarding the atmosphere which is why that is rated as 3 stars. The Triple cheeseburger was the best item we tried. The meat/cheese/onion/pickle ratio was solid in between potato buns, loved it. There was a bit more grease than I’m used to seeing in a smash burger but I love oily food so no complaints here! The triple cheeseburger by itself can fill you up. The cheeseburger is what you want to try here. The patty melt was good but it’s not the item you come here to get. The bread was thick, which is what you want to see for a patty melt but it was too dry around the edges, the edges were definitely getting stuck in my throat. Once you get past the dry edges the rest was really good. I’d get it in the future but I’m definitely ripping off the edges. Regular Fries were okay at best, there was a hefty serving but even while fresh they only kinda had a crispiness to them and went soggy shortly after that. Seasoning was good but needed a bit more for sure. I tried them but I wouldn’t get them moving forward. Also it didn’t come with any sauce, sauce is a separate order. The OG Fries were better only because they had toppings, once the toppings are done the rest of the fries were negligible. We also had the chocolate chip and peanut butter cookies, they were thick, soft and chewy, would definitely get again. There was no line when we got there but we still waited about 25 minutes for our food, it seemed like there may have been a bunch of online orders because food was still coming out of the service window and being picked up in delivery bags. As far as seating, there is no indoor area past the kitchen so no indoor seating. Only outdoor seating is available, there are 3-4 tables seating 4 each and you help yourself to them. There is no bathroom available either, so maybe bring wet wipes? No dedicated parking, you’ll have to find a spot around the neighborhood, we didn’t have any issue finding a spot.

Double Oklahoma Smashburger / two patties, grilled onions, cheese, pickles, OG sauce - 5⭐! Crispy Fries with OG Ranch + OG Sauce - 5⭐! I found OG Smashburger by accident when I drove past their location recently. The bright yellow colors really captured my eye. I even circled the block so I could park and see it up close. What I found looked quite appealing so I decided to stop for lunch and give it a try. They are clearly inspired by Oklamhoma, both the decor and their smash burger. An Oklamahoma style smashburger is when the grilled onions are smashed into the beef patties instead of layered on top. It results in a tasty, crispy, beefy, oniony patty and OG Smash Burger really nailed their take on it. The burger was very enjoyable. The fries were crispy, salty, tasty and thin. I tried them with the dipping sauces and the flavors were a great combo to go with the burger. For a random discovery on the streets of the valley, OG Smash Burger really delivered some excellent food! Their shop is a window style counter with some outdoor patio seating. It is a small place with no parking but I had no trouble finding street parking directly in front of their shop. They must be fairly new because I drive by this area about once a month and hadn't noticed them before. The person taking orders was nice and friendly. The decor is bright and colorful with a lot of fun kitsch related to Oklahoma. I noticed they also serve a patty melt and I would love to come back and try one out. Hopefully the neighborhood takes notice and gives them some love. They have a great burger and are worth a visit!

I walk my dog past this place every day. I had the pleasure of sampling the fare there when it was Peco Bills (great BBQ sandwiches, btw). I eagerly awaited the grand opening of OG Smashburger because I love a good burger! This place does not disappoint. Make no mistake, they are not your average burger joint. No frills, no fancy, catchy titles for ordering, just quality you can taste at a price that won’t leave you wondering what happened. I ordered the OG fries because I’ve never had a burger served bunless and on top of my fries: perfectly seasoned, crispy shoestring fries, grilled onions, a hamburger patty crisped at the edges(!!!), topped with melty cheese, OG sauce, and three large deli pickle slices. They should rename that particular item OMG fries, because that was the first thing I uttered once I could speak. Marry that with covered patio sets to sit and enjoy in a relatively quiet neighborhood with a view of the Griffith Park Hills and what you have is a win-win-win situation. My order was ready in about 10 minutes, fresh and hot. The guys (I’m sorry I didn’t get their names) were very cordial and helpful. They also play music while you dine, and promptly turn it off whenever you need something or someone approaches to order. Very professional. Also, they have an awning that sprays a wonderfully cooling mist in hot weather while you wait your turn to order. 10 out...
