Read moreWe were on a cross country trip driving from San Francisco to West Virginia. We were excited to find a healthy spot with some vegetarian options in this small town. The ambiance was on point and if we had more time to spare we would have loved to bring out our laptops and get some work done. Definitely a cute spot to hang out for a while. We got the açaí bowls, the sweet potato breakfast bowl and the mango smoothie and chai latte. The açaí bowls were more of a cup size with perhaps 1/4 cup of açaí and the rest topped with granola and fruit. It was okay but it was just overly sweetened and just did not taste healthy or satiating which is what we were looking for. The sweet potato breakfast bowl was definitely more like a salad. It honestly lacked carbs. Usually a bowl has a base of rice, quinoa or some sort of grain… but this was one was just spinach and the sweet potatoes were undercooked and didn’t really taste like sweet potatoes (?), they tasted more like a carrot.. maybe they were canned or something but just a strange texture. The mango smoothie is probably just a concentrated syrup puréed with water and overly sweetened, not actual fresh mangos and the chai latte tasted nice but it was watered down and again.. too much sugar honestly :/ we really wanted to like this spot, but for the price and ambiance we were expecting a bit more healthy and filling. To be honest my husband and I I did not like any of the food.. we were going to order more items to take on the road with us but the price and quality did not seem worth it. We rated 2 stars for the ambiance of the restaurant...
Read moreWe came in for coffees at 1pm on a Friday. We were told they were out of drip coffee but could get Americanos, as they were basically the same thing.
When our Americano was ready, the barista shouted the name and an annoying customer with an electronic tennis racket took over and shouted the name louder, grabbing the coffee from the barista and handing it to my friend. The exchange was flustering and my friend spilled the hot Americano on her hand.
The next day, we came back for more coffees. It was alright. My friend ordered a coffee and it seemed there was some confusion over that. I ordered the Miel, it had a weak coffee flavor and all the honey lay unincorporated at the bottom of my cup when I had finished it. Overall, the staff seemed friendly but it didnt feel like the coffee was great, if youre into that...
