2nd attempt at posting this review after Mr. Singh had the first one removed - AVOID!!!!!!!!!! General Manager unlawfully denied our family access to a booked room after multiple forms of proof that we had paid.

I booked a one night stay for my family at this hotel as part of a cross-country military move. We stayed here about 3 nights into our trip, the only night we experienced a nightmarish hotel check-in process that culminated in having to talk to the Glendive Police Department (that Mr. Singh, the General Manager, called without any basis) and book another local hotel for the night.

I attempted to check in to this hotel after 10 hours of travel. At the time of check-in, Mr. Singh informed me that he was having difficulty finding me in the system. As I went to pull up my confirmation email, Mr. Singh found my reservation, and told me that I had not paid yet. I kindly explained to Mr. Singh that I had prepaid all of the hotels that I was staying at on this trip and could provide an email indicating proof of payment momentarily. I then pulled up an email from my credit card company showing I owed $0.00 at the hotel.

At this point, Mr. Singh became angry, again told me that I had not paid, and that I was not welcome until I paid. He told me I would have to call AmEx and Expedia to resolve the issue. Even though that seemed like it was something the hotel manager could have and should have done, I obliged. I walked outside and called Amex, who confirmed payment. They connected me to Expedia, who also confirmed payment. I had my husband call Wyndham to access the reservation. The Wyndham Customer Service agent indicated our reservation was fully paid. They then called the hotel manager to explain the situation, but all to no avail.

When I returned back to the hotel lobby, I was told I could not stay because I had not paid. I reiterated what Amex, Expedia, and Wyndham had told myself and my husband over the phone to Mr. Singh. He again demanded payment and was enraged that we had called Wyndham to verify payment. Desperate to just get settled into our room for the night, I offered my credit card and indicated that once this was all sorted out, we could work out the refund so that I was not double-charged.

Without any further explanation or justification, he accused me of being the type of person to charge things back on my credit card. He accused myself and my family of being the type of people who stay in hotels and then demand a free room at checkout. He then threatened to call the local police on me.

Astounded and bewildered at the lack of customer service I was receiving, I told Mr. Singh that my family and I needed a place to stay for the night and that we expected the room that we had paid for. He told me to book elsewhere, as he had already cancelled our reservation. I became upset and told Mr. Singh that he had provided unsatisfactory customer service. I told Mr. Singh he should be ashamed of treating an active duty service member traveling on military orders the way he was doing so.

By this time, my husband had come in to the hotel lobby. He treated my husband with disrespect, asking how old he was, and expecting both of us to just walk out of his hotel without questioning why we had been denied service for no justifiable reason.

As I sat in the lobby with my son, my husband began calling other local hotels to find different accommodation. But as my husband was making those calls, in walked the Glendive Police Department. That's right, THE MANAGER OF THIS HOTEL WILL USE AND ABUSE THE LOCAL POLICE IF HE DOES NOT LIKE YOU AS A CUSTOMER. Thankfully, the police agreed that his claims were baseless, and allowed my husband and I to leave the premises and go to our new accommodation.

As we left, a hotel employee waved us down and apologized for the way Mr. Singh treated us. The employee told us that Mr. Singh treats his employees like this all the time. Wyndham should be embarrassed to have Mr. Singh representing their brand and all customers should beware of Mr. Singh and his illegal,...

Worse hotel I ever stayed. Hotel rooms are full of pet hair and when we complain their staff is so rude to us. When I inquired from the assistant manager Stacy she said they are not changing bedspreads after each guest. And when we ask for new bedspreads also she.was very hesitant to provide them. The next day when I tried to reach their General manager, Mr. Singh, he also didn't show up or didn't give a call back for a few days. And once I made a formal complaint after trying to reach him via phone call. He said he couldn't do anything other than offer a 20% discount. He is one of the worst General managers I met in my life, who doesn't know how to listen to customer complaints nor admit their faults.

I will complain about this to La Quinta cooperate office for future guests benefit. I don't recommend this place at all.

THIS IS MY REPLY TO THE GENERAL MANAGER'S COMMENT BELOW.

You are so keen and cunning to replying to my above review promptly just to save your hotels public image.

As a customers I would like to see this politeness and quick response, when I had the issue and tried to reach you on the first place. Because you were hiding and ignoring the calls for days.

Do you know the 2nd room also your assistant manager offered, had full of food crumbs on the floor and poor house keeping? And when we questioned about the pet hair incident from her she said infront of my entire family that you guys don't change bed spreads after each guest unless it is pretty dirty . Since Glendive is very rural area and it was too late to shift to a new hotel, I had to stay in your dirty room since everyone of our family was tired after traveling for so long. Since she admitted that you guys don't change bed spreads we ask for new bedspreads to the 2nd room offered, for that also she was very hesitant and after so many explanations we got 2 bed spreads finally.

In the hotel policy it says it's a pet friendly hotel and you guys charge pet fee to do additional cleaning. So you guys do a big scam to everyone by charging additional pet fees and not maintaining the standards. Also it says people travel with pets are restricted to 1st floor. But how come the room I get in the 2nd floor got full of pet hair on the bed. Which shows how much poor manager you are.

Therefore please note any of my friends ,family or relatives will NEVER stay in this Hotel again. Due to the great hospitality and customer service and the cleanliness that you and your staff offered.

Finally i would like to say, personally if you listen to your self you will know whether you are guilty or not. (Failed or not as a manager) and addressed the customer issue and gave a proper resolution or not.

Please remember, what goes around...

I've stayed here hundreds of times in the past when it had great management and I have never been an employee of this place!!! I stayed here the 22nd and the 23rd of January in the whirlpool room 307! When we came to check in their was no one at the desk and never was the entire time of our stay! We walked into our room and they changed the black fridge to a red one witch does not match the black and white room! The room was not very clean! The first night was ok... The second night at 8am the next morning a housekeeper tried to walk in our room and woke up my Wife and our new born and could not get back to sleep! Then at 10am the housekeeper just walked into our room without knocking! By this time I was feritated!! I went downstairs and talked to Harmet SINGH the General Manager and he was very rood and disrespectful and did not care about our frustration or the house keeper!!! I manage a hotel and a restaurant and I have never seen such disrespect and disorganization!! Also we had Capitions on our small TV witch they could not figure out how to take off witch ruined our tv experience and drove us nuts!!!! This hotel is absolutely horrible now!! We will never stay here or at a LaQuinta ever again!! Also if you would like a great place to stay in Glendive. Stay at the Holiday Inn and Express!! (This is where we went after our HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE) They have a hot tub and pool!! And their are people at the front desk and are very helpful and make you feel at home!!! Avoid LaQuinta Inn and Suites in Glendive Montana at all costs!!! Fire the General Manager and things will...

The La Quinta is newly renovated, which is a very nice upgrade. The service is great and very friendly. The lobby area is clean and inviting. The rooms are updated which is nice. Only issues I had was the room wasn't fully cleaned upon arrival. There were food crumbs on the floor in between the two beds. One bed was made, however had some food crumbs and hair among the sheets so it didn't appear to have fresh sheets. The other bed was clean. The beds in general are comfortable and I had no issues sleeping. The bathroom was okay. The shower curtain smelled and was mildewy from water. It needs to be replaced. The shower valve, after 5 minutes, had a loud squealing sound. I could hear other nearby rooms seeming to have the same issues. Staying in Glendive, there are not many options for food or chains if that is desired. Miles City has quite a bit more options near the hotels. If you're passing through Glendive and need a quick nighf stay, this renovated La Quinta is not a bad option.

We stayed here because of our dog, there was a $25 pet fee. Only bummer is the floor in the room was lvp vinyl, and our little guy is afraid to walk on it. We understand it's easier to clean, but really wish we had carpet instead. Room was quite modern, TV a bit small but acceptable. The shower head was dirty with calcium deposits and made a fairly loud whistling noise that went away after about 5 minutes. The floor looked clean but was quite dirty. I had spilled a little water and when I wiped it up it was full of dirt. Wasn't a big deal for me personally as I usually wear slippers. Bed was comfortable and king size. The breakfast was better than average for a hotel of this class. The lady running the breakfast was killing it, very friendly and trying to make sure everyone was taken care of. It looked like she was doing the job of 2 people

Had a very nice stay here! I booked the presidential suite because there was a jacuzzi tub in the middle of the room and I couldn’t resist. Didn’t end up using it but it was awesome. Breakfast during COVID was grab and go: cereal, yogurt, water, and a granola bar. More than other places we’ve stayed at on this trip. Only took away a star because the walls are thin and it was very busy, lots of doors slamming and loud hallways. Our upstairs neighbor blasted their TV overnight and it made it hard to sleep due to the thin walls. Staff was very nice and room was very clean! Everyone I saw was masked, which I appreciated as I am a higher risk individual.
