Just had brunch at Meadows Diner. Overall, the food was solid—nothing amazing, nothing terrible, just a dependable diner experience. I ordered the Meadows Breakfast. The pancakes, bacon, and sausage were right on par with what you’d expect. The French toast, though, fell flat—slightly bland, I’d give it a 4.5/10. My girlfriend went with the chicken club, which was tasty overall, though she pointed out it could’ve been stacked better (bread–chicken–bread–chicken–bread, instead of just one thick cut of chicken). Still, the portion was decent and the flavor was solid. The onion rings were also a nice side—crispy and enjoyable. All in all, Meadows Diner is exactly what you want from a neighborhood diner: consistent, straightforward, and respectable, even if nothing really stands out as exceptional. I’d rate the overall experience a 5.8/10. Side note: The syrup at Meadows Diner could definitely use an upgrade. It was thin, watery, and lacking in flavor—almost like a sugar-free or low-calorie version. A richer, more traditional syrup would really elevate the breakfast experience.

On Sunday, April 13th, around 1:30 p.m., my boyfriend and I went to Meadow’s Diner in Blackwood, NJ. There was plenty of parking, including handicap-accessible spots, and thankfully, no wait even though it was a little busy. We went during the lunch rush, but it wasn’t packed to the point where we felt crowded. The total for our food was about $30, which wasn’t bad at all. The place had a vintage vibe, you could tell by the traditional setup, including neon signs and tiled floors. We were seated right away, and the staff was super friendly. They checked on us often to make sure we had everything we needed and even brought out syrup for the pancakes before the food arrived. Our meals came out pretty quickly, within about 10 minutes. We both ordered pancakes, and my boyfriend also got a pastrami sandwich. Both the pancakes and the sandwich were delicious. I didn’t see anything about student discounts, and they didn’t seem to have any special diet menus, but they did have specials of the day. Overall, it’s a great spot that I’d definitely go back to.

Wow. That's the first words that come to mind when I think about this place. I've lived in blackwood for 3 years and always thought the place looked cool driving by so we finally tried it. I was absolutely amazed at the quality, taste, presentation of the food! You would never believe it was a diner. I got a cheese steak hoagie. It was MASSIVE. Absolutely delicious the best I've ever had honestly. It was presented like a 4 star restaurant. The French fries were crispy, seasoned well. I also got a side of their home made slaw and wow it was good! We also got an order of their huge French toast topped with fresh strawberries. Again. Super impressed the portion was huge, nicely displayed. Tasted like I just cooked it at home. The service was friendly and the bill was very affordable. I will deffinetly be going here again. It takes a lot to impress me at a restaurant anymore so many have become so Bland and focused on "ina and out". Not here. The meadows is gem guys!

Had not been here in many years since Nikki use to be our waitress and her mother was hostess manager who always made strawberry milkshake for my daughter.....fast forward we came in were promptly seated in back room which I was happy about less crowded, older lady seating us asked what we wanted to drink and said our server Jacob would be over in a minute. She brought our drinks and he promptly arrived, greeted us and answered our questions and took our order. Soup was hot and delicious and the bread was fresh and butter not melted and refrozen like many places recycle customers bread and butter. Food arrived hot, juicy, nice size portions reasonable prices. Jacob kept checking back on us, he was prompt to get refills and ask if we needed anything When came time for deserts our first two choices he came back and said manager said they were old and would not serve, A+ for honesty. Only problem was older man on register seemed to be unsure having problem with credit card... Everything was so good.

We came back again asked for Jacob but this time we were sat out front. Right from get go it seemed different, the older guy that had problem with credit card seemed to be a bother seating us, seemed unsure who was working what tables.

Jacob was prompt and friendly and food and service were great in fact my meal was filling which for me is a rarity. I did force myself to get desert because they looked so good and it was to die for and worth the price.

My complaints for second visit All stem from the other staff: first there were three Hispanic employees 2 females wearing masks under their chins (which makes you look like idiots) who seemed sick yet were not wearing masks properly and were wrapping the silverware and Spanish guy with mop all hanging out front jabbering in Spanish the whole time (this is very disrespectful in my opinion), and the other problem is the waitress who was constantly bitching and complaining about the time and 1 hr left and customers coming in before closing and about other employees that did something she didn't like.....I don't want to hear staff drama, see goofing off and I don't want to hear all this foreign jabbering this is America speak English!! When you do that you give the appearance that you are talking about people and or don't want them to know what you are saying. It's very shady and sneaky and good way to loose customers. Keep that nonsense in the back...

I understand places are busy on the weekends, the moment we sat down at the table another waitress really said was there money on the table as we politely said no there was not, already put a bad taste in our mouth when we place our orders with a different waitress our order was incorrect as we simply wanted the sandwich to be grilled, but not open faced, something that could’ve been corrected. The waitress came back with an attitude to describe what the sandwich was, and how it was made when we simply just wanted it to be grilled with the cheese. what I assume was the manager came by to say no problem we can do it the waitress continue to explain and put her finger out, which I noticed to the gentleman and simply continue to explain with an attitude to my mother. I understand restaurants can be busy as myself I work in the restaurant business with the offputting of the waitress being rude, and explaining it to us, as we were incapable of understanding what we ordered. I work for one of the top restaurants that most priority is to work on customer service not the customer is right. It is still recommended to treat us with some gratitude.. needless to say we did not enjoy our breakfast/lunch even though there are French on your soup is amazing. The service and the attitude of the waitress was offputting.. regardless of the situation of a being extremely busy she was extremely rude with her tone I don’t know if it was because her section was full or because we were sat there or how we were looked because now 20 minutes after she explained to us in a rude manner she turned around and expressed great kindness to another table.

Needless to say, the food was amazing, but the atmosphere and the tone of the waitress was very offputting. Probably...

This was my 2nd time to Meadow's diner. My friend Ed brought me here as an extra surprise birthday gift.. He also paid for my hair. As it was my birthday October 17th 2019.. So we walk in and were seated and greeted and brought a glass of water and menu right away. Then the waitress came back and asked us if we would like to have a drink. So we said yes and got a drink. She gave us some more time then took our order. I got hot roast beef and gravy with mashed potatoes and gravy..He got cold roast beef sandwich with lettuce and french fries.. The food was so delicious..I am a very sensitive eater because of food allergies allergies but I had no problems.. It was the best meal I had in years. So with my meal i got a free dessert and i picked tapioca pudding with whipped cream.. At which point I turned to the waitress and said its my birthday..She said that's nice honey Happy birthday 🎈🛍👒🌺👱‍♀️🎈So Ed I continued to talk and finish up with our meal. Well all of a sudden I hear singing and before I knew it it was out waitress coming down the aisle carrying a piece of Strawberry Shortcake with a candle and several waitresses are CV following behind her singing Happy birthday to me. They even invited all the people in the restaurant to sing along. I was so and felt so special that they did that for me.. Wr will be forever customers of Meadows diner. We so appreciate how they all do and how each person does their job. So when your driving down Blackhorse pike going past a big Rite aide.. Keep driving slow and look to your left for the Meadows diner.. Please tell them Dawn sent you and to please read my comments about such a great...
