I had a disappointing experience at this Dunkin' location on Sunday evening, Labor Day Eve. The store was relatively quiet, and I was excited after a lovely day exploring Gloucester and Rockport. I ordered two iced coffees and two donuts, and while the guy who took my order was nice and efficient, everything went downhill from there.
When I asked for a cup of water for my dog, the supposed lead or supervisor flatly refused. I've been to many Dunkin' locations where they happily provide water, especially for pets. Her response was dismissive and rude, telling me to "talk to the owner" instead of just acknowledging my request. It's baffling that she wouldn't accommodate such a simple ask.
After I left, my friend went in to ask for water for my dog, and he was met with the same hostility. This employee treated us like we were a nuisance rather than customers. To make matters worse, she threatened to call the cops because she felt "uncomfortable." Seriously? We were just trying to be polite customers!
It’s clear that this location lacks basic customer service skills, and the management should take a long, hard look at how their staff is treating patrons. I will definitely not be returning to this Dunkin' Donuts again. If this is how they treat customers, they’re doing something...
