To The Founder of Cometeer coffee:
I wanted to report to you a rude interaction with the guys at the Burlington Mall today Aug 31 at about 3pm.
As soon as my husband & I walked into the mall from parking, we saw your counter and stopped by. There are 2 salesmen at your counter. They asked whether we knew the brand and we said NO. Then they proceeded to ask my husband which one he wanted to try- he said Medium hot coffee. Just as one of the salesmen opened the lid of the cup, I asked whether you were also at the Natick mall as we might have been to you counter a year ago at the Natick Mall. He said yes and threw the cup into the trash and said "Youre all set- thats why we asked whether you knew the brand- are you going to buy a box and take it home? If not, we are all set". Needless to say, we said thank you and walked away.
The entire tone from the time we exchanged pleasantries to this above mentioned conversation was rude. Bad behavior on a human level- shocked as to what makes some people behave this way. So cheap......imagining throwing away a sample to prove a point instead of offering it to someone in front of you--- is this what your company stands for? These guys would not be in a customer facing role representing my company if this were my brand...
I wanted to give you this feedback for whatever its worth- I have sent a message on LinkedIn to the founder of Cometeer...

He assured me that Cometeer would be taking steps to provide more transparency around subscriptions, send reminder emails for upcoming shipments, and continue to evaluate shipping partners to balance speed and quality. I'm cautiously optimistic and look forward to seeing these changes implemented).
After being a subscriber for over 3 years, I have unfortunately cancelled my subscription. As a local MA business with a great product, I have wanted to support Cometeer and see it grow. However, their abysmal website design and shady subscription practices have made this impossible.
As time has gone on, the quality of their delivery service has gone downhill. For two years, things were perfect. This past year, I have had packages misdelivered, arrive melted, and missing coffee.
Cometeer will not inform you of an impending delivery until it is too late to reschedule and their website is frustrating to navigate. Combine this with the James Hoffmann discovery box concealing a hidden $80 subscription, and it is the final straw.
I believe in Cometeerās product. It is a shame they feel the need to skimp on bottom barrel delivery services and deceptive practices to squeeze more money out of their...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFull disclosure: I live in NYC and am (unfortunately) a coffee snob, and more specifically, a cold brew snob (I cannot tolerate typical iced coffee from coffee shops/delis, because itās usually just their old coffee that they refrigerate and it just takes like bad old cold coffee⦠bleh). Even after years of trying to perfect my own cold brew at home to cut back on the daily $5+ spending, I couldnāt get it right, found I needed way too many beans, and was sick of the mess.
I kept seeing Cometeer on Instagram, then picked up a box in Whole Foods and I was very skeptical, because I thought there was no way a melted coffee concentrate that was brewed hot could taste anywhere near as good as a cold brew.
Holy cow I was wrong. This stuff is delicious, mess free and so so so easy.
No doubt about it, it is absolutely more expensive than brewing a hot cup from a drip machine. But at less than $2.30 every day and being this delicious,(including shipping costs) itās a no brainer if youāre someone who is used to buying their coffee out on a daily basis. I havenāt walked into a coffee shop since I started drinking this stuff.
I will say their website is definitely not user friendly and Iām hopeful thatāll change as more...
