Alton-Wood River Sportsmen's Club — Restaurant in Godfrey

Tonight I asked for the Cajun chicken and shrimp pasta, which was served to me with garlic butter noodles. When I asked my waitress for Alfredo sauce, that is when she told me there was none! That apparently the morning prep crew was supposed to make it, and they never did, and the dinner crew didn’t bother to play catchup. An unfortunate dining experience for me. I ended up taking my garlic butter noodles with (dry) chicken and shrimp to go, stopping by schnucks to buy my own Alfredo sauce. I won’t be trusting them with anything other than the sportsman’s burger...

Although this is a club, it is open to the public. There is a full bar and a pretty extensive menu. We both order salads and they were HUGE! We both had half left. The server took my allergies seriously and the salad was great. It's a 5 Star for what it is, a sportsmen club. It has a nice porch for outside dining too. I didn't see a kid's menu but that doesn't mean...

My family of 7 was there unannounced on a Friday Afternoon and was very impressed with the service and meal. We all ordered off the menu each with different menu food items, the orders came out correct and the meals each were delivered in a very nicely prepared arrangement.
