Today I visited this establishment with my family after church. We waited over an HOUR just for our food to arrive which wouldn’t have been an issue if the order was correct. We did wait long periods in between for refills. There were also people who were seated AFTER us that were given their food BEFORE us. My mother n law found hair in her food. We notified two servers. One who was our waitress and two, the waitress who took the dirty plates. My fiancés order was incorrect. She asked for well done hash browns and received mushy hash browns. We notified the waitress. She took the plate to “fix”. After 20 minutes of waiting while everyone was done with their food we decided to leave. She brings the plate at that time. The plate had a combination of mush and burnt hash browns (idk how that’s possible but, it was) and my two crusty burnt eggs which were supposed to be over easy. We went to pay and owner was at register. I notified her of the hair, and the eggs/hash browns situation. She got defensive, disrespectful, and rude when addressing the issue. She said those 2 waitresses should have notified her and didn’t. She said that the state of my fiancé “new/corrected” plate was the best they could do and had no response for the hair in my mother n laws food. She did not correct the situation. She did not fix the situation. She did not apologize. She argued not only with me but, also other family members as she was unhappy with me notifying her of the issues in her establishment. I then paid full price. And she asked did I want to add a tip as we paid with card. I said no. She rolled her eyes handed me the receipt, and walked away.
Me and my fiancé have frequented this establishment multiple times and have never had any issues nor been treated the way we were today.
I will say there are other issues that need to be noted and addressed as well that we have noticed since frequenting this establishment.
The tables are never cleaned properly. They will only wipe portions of a table, (for example: if 2 people sit at a 4 seating table, they wipe only the two places were those people sat) they do not clean any items on the table even if visibly dirty.
If coffee cups or silverware is not used at a table they will leave it on the table for the next customers to use. (Cross contamination by other customers)
Pulling plates off of customers tables without asking even with food on them.
Attitude toward customers.
Picking “dirty” jelly, sugars, and creamer packets off the ground and placing back on customers tables and/or in condiment containers for next customers to touch and use.
And yes gloves. Cooks do not wear gloves when handling nor preparing food.
Every time we have frequented we clean the tables ourselves and request they have gloves on as we feel that is unsanitary snd not up to health codes.
We will NOT be giving this establishment any more chances to improve. They should be shut down by cross contamination in the kitchen let along their hygiene “standards” of a “clean” establishment. I can not right a more truthful not to the point review for this...
Read moreGreat breakfast spot! I had the Mitchell's mayhem i think it was called? Biscuit, gravy, hash browns, cheese, and 2 eggs all piled together with a choice of meat. I went with the sausage patty based on other reviews. 1)Note I gave 5 stars, even with these critiques. 2)The biscuit could have been hotter. Obviously baked earlier, by necessity, it probably could have benefited with a few minutes on the grill while the rest was being prepared. 3) The sausage patty had great flavor as other reviews suggested, but as with the biscuit, cooked earlier, it could have used a bit longer on the warm-up. 4) Normally, I would have coffee but had some earlier, so I opted for a diet soda. They had Pepsi, which isn't Coke, so bummer there. The diet Pepsi had a chlorine taste, which I assume came from the ice. Please filter your water, people! It's easy and cheap to do!
Overall, great food! Service was fantastic. I think the sweet older lady who served me called me every affectionate name in the English language. Sugar, sweetie, darling, honey, etc. Oh, and they need to raise their prices. Breakfast for under $10? Crazy....
Read moreI will never spend my money at this business again!!! I decided to take my friend girl here for breakfast today to try to get her mind off the fact that her father is currently transitioning. After receiving our food, my grits was cold and she was served her food with something she didn't order...a long hair on top of her food. Upon waiting and receiving another plate of food, the grits was cold and the eggs were warm...who still had an appetite after waiting for their food to be replaced? When we went to check out, I asked was something going to be taken off my bill for our order not being right the 1st time. I was informed if you get your food replaced, there is nothing taken off your bill. I'm not one to raise unnecessary chaos but I am that one to do a review. Hope they enjoyed that$22 😉. I work to hard for my money to spend it where it's not...
