Stoney Creek North Greenway — Attraction in Goldsboro

July 2025: Unsafe. Trashy. Overgrown trails and unkept.

Random mattresses in the woods for the homeless population. We lost count on the number of used condoms, beer cans, and stuff you just don’t want to touch. (PSA: if your light brown purse was stolen lately then you can find it at the end of the paved greenway by the railroad tracks; seriously).

It's not nearly as nice as it used to be. The Parks and Recreation division has really let this place go down hill. Most of the trails are blocked by trees that fell a few years ago. There used to be several miles of trails that were maintained, now there's hardly one mile that is passable for walking or biking. Now even more trees have fallen and it's not safe to even try to get on any...

It's good if you're walking a dog or hangin out but the trails are kinda odd. Brought the bikes out to ride around, as they claim there's ample trails, but nah. I mean, it's smack in the middle of Goldsboro, so idk what we expected, to be fair. It was still a good...
