I went for my first time ordered on the phone,I ordered burrito al pastor and 2 gorditas pastor as well,and the food was awful,the burrito was full I mean full of rice lil bit of lettuce,and a lil bit of ground beef wich is not what I order,the gorditas awful as well,they are delgaditas,the corn base burn and ground beef and no cheese,I ask for the manager to discuss about how bad and awful my food was,but she refuse to tell me her name and she was so unprofessional,places like this need to stop doing business,I pay for an a order that I didn't get,and prices are so high,I WILL NEVER EAT THERE AGAIN,IM SO DESPAPOINT IT😡😡😡🤮😡🤮 The waitress Carolina was professional the way she take my order,thank you Carolina and is not your fault. I assume it is a much more authentic Mexican experience than I am accustomed to and that is what the difference was in how the food was prepared. The portions were all nicely sized and the cost of everything was very reasonably priced. The staff was all exceptional, friendly and attentive to everyone's needs. Read moreI came to Gonzales for an appointment & noticed this small market & restaurant as I was leaving town. Everything about the exterior screams "great abuelita food," & after looking up some online reviews, I knew I was spot on.
I got the Friday special, a steaming bowl of caldo de camarones. After the first sip, I ordered 16 tacos to go, for dinner back home. They have the usual suspects: tripa, barbacoa, lengua, shrimp & carnitas. The family devoured them like we were Dust Bowl locusts.
