I thought this place would be better than Avondale seeing that it seems to be a more efficient way of getting people in & out… or so I thought.
The bad employees from the last location just brought all their bad habits here it seems. Food is often not fresh even though it has just been handed to me in the line. ** On more than one occasion, I’ve seen my order sitting on the little white table for 5+ minutes while I waited 2 cars behind before it was handed to me when I pull up to the table. Why not hand it over like the other orders? Or why bring it outside to wait in the wind, rain & cold? My sandwich fillets seem much smaller even though the price under this owner has increased 3 times in the past 12 months. 30 count nuggets went from $18 to $22. Nuggets have greatly reduced in size also. They are cut smaller now into pieces about 3/4 the size the used to be. A 30 count used to barely fit in the box and now there’s room for 8 more nuggets at least. Breading crumbs still count as Nuggets I guess… over a dozen pea sized crumbs in my 30 count that were part of the count of 30. Cookies are often doughy and not crunchy, even when cooked for several hours. Line waits are still very long 10+ minutes even with dual lanes and only about 5-6 cars ahead in line, it’s just more options of where you want to be stuck - right or left lane?
I’ve since been back to the Avondale location and they seem to be doing a much better job since the owner left. Avondale is now much speedier, less mistakes on my orders (none so far since the takeover), food is always hot and most importantly the place appers to be MUCH CLEANER on the inside and out.
Clearly the owner of this Estrella location is the bad apple here. He leaves a location, only to bring the same bad habits to the new location, all the while random Chick-Fil-A employees from across the country with a make-shift crew of strangers are doing a better job of running his last location….
I live a few minutes away but I drive all the way to Surprise or Avondale locations any chance I can. Estrella & Dysart are no-go’s...
Read moreEXCEPTIONAL!! The only reason other fast food places are in business is because there aren't more Chick-fil-A's around. If any other fast food, or any restaurants wants to increase their business, go to Chick-fil-A and take notes on their SERVICE and friendliness and promptness and attention to detail! This place is the model for service in all retail businesses!! The employees were ALL exceptional. Example: I came towards the side door (in the dining area), there was an employee inside who saw me coming, he stepped to the door, opened it and said "Come right in sir". That was exceptional. As we waited for our food, at our table, the server brought our food. She didn't just walk away, she reviewed our order, asked if we needed anything, my wife said "catsup" which she retrieved quickly, then stated "if you need anything else, drinks filled etc., just let us know. Exceptional! We we half finished with our meal, my drink was close to empty. Another server (or associate, whatever the PC term is this week) stopped at the table, without prompt or even eye contact, and asked if I'd like a drink refill, which she did promptly! Exceptional! I wish Restaurants I go to and spend over $100 for a meal would give this type of service. I haven't even mentioned the food, itwas hot, fresh and looked like the photo on the menu board!!! Exceptional! I challenge you to visit any other fast food restaurant and receive a product the even slightly resembles the menu photo!!...

They have a lane for drive thru, and another lane for mobile order, which is great, but I really don't like that they don't start making the mobile app order until you get there and scan their QR code. The main reason I use mobile order is to have the order ready when I get there, so all I have to do is pull up, pick up the food, and leave. Not sit there and watch all the cars in normal drive thru lane leave as I'm waiting for my food. If it takes the same amount of time to go thru the drive thru, what's even the point of having a mobile app ordering and separate lane for drive thru?
And speaking of mobile app, it's ridiculous that only way I can order is to have to load money on to the app (minimum $10) and can't use my credit card. My total came out to $10.08 after tax and it made me load $20 to the app.
Also, I wish they'd fill up the fry box a...
