Visited for the first time last week and not sure if I’ll go again.

My cousin got the middie mash bowl and a side of fries. She said the chicken was good but salty. She did not care for the rest. She wasn’t sure if it was the gravy or what but she didn’t even eat half of the potato bowl. She said the fries were good.

I got the chicken paprikash. It was not like any chicken paprikash that I’ve had elsewhere. At first I thought they forgot to give me spatzle because I did not see a lot of little dumplings on my plate. I then realized their spatzle was big balls which there were only about six. I cut one open (forgot to take a picture) and it was brownish in color and looked more like bread than a noodle. If you do a google search for spatzle and look at the images, there are no pictures that look anything like what was served as spatzle. I think someone is confused about what spatzle is and is calling German bread dumplings spatzle. As for the rest of the paprikash it was just ok and not something I would order there again. The roll that was served also had an odd taste.

When our server offered to get my cousin a box to take her leftovers, my cousin declined. The server did ask if anything was wrong and my cousin told her the chicken was good but the rest was not. The server said she would remove it from the bill but my cousin said she would pay for it. When the bills were brought, there was no charge for the potato bowl.

Based on the reviews I had high hopes for this restaurant. Both our choices were marked as customer favorites so we were really disappointed that they were not good. I don’t know if we were there on an off day or what. The place was very busy so some of the food...

Usually happy here, tonight was different. Service was very slow, not crowded either. Took at least 10 minutes to get our drinks, I ordered the chicken and waffles fruit cup and fries. My wife ordered sausage cabbage and noodles. The chicken was good but it was supposed to come with a hot honey sauce which I didnt get. Not having this before I didnt realize it until I was almost finished. No big deal. My wife didn't like her meal at all so it got boxed up. She didn't want to order anything else in fear of the very slow service. Our server was supposed to come back with more coffee for my wife but that didn't happen either. I ordered the chocolate cake with ice cream, when it finally came I found it to be stale. I had to ask again for the forgotten ice cream which was very good. We never did get refills and it took quite some time to finally get our server over to pay our bill. I did hear alot of apologies not only at our table but also at others. Maybe it was just a bad evening here, not sure if maybe just short staffed but again it was definitely not crowded. We usually love it here and I want to continue to love it here. Hopefully it was just an off night and next time it will be...

We ordered take out from here, my husband ordered a Ruben and onion rings, I ordered a plain cheeseburger and fries. Once he returned home, I opened everything and apparently when you order a plain cheeseburger that means NO bun! I looked at the receipt and it stated "cheeseburger NO bun" well that was NOT what I ordered! So when I called them to complain and bring to their attention the girl argued with me about what I ordered, I said if I ordered with NO bun, wouldn't you still have lettuce, tomato, pickle etc? I received a piece of hamburger patty in a container with nothing more! She said "well that's what I heard, I don't know what you want me to do, you can drive up here and get a bun if you want" Seriously ??? YOU messed up a $14.99 order and I got a hamburger patty that's it! No apology and no desire to make it right! We will no longer be ordering from Check Please and have told people about this incident and they shared their bad experience with bad service and food as well. We ordered weekly from here and the service and food has decline rapidly of the last...

I was so excited to try this place! We decided to invite our family to go for breakfast. Unfortunately they state that they do not take reservations, as we had a somewhat large party of 7. We showed up around 10:30 and there was a wait of over 40 mins.. took almost an hour to get seated. The place is pretty small but decorated very cute. The waitress was not very friendly at all, my husband says that’s by design because it’s a small town diner feel but I didn’t really get that vibe. The latte was delicious! I got the caramel latte. I ordered the pumpkin French toast even though it was lunch time by the time we finally got seated. It was okay except there was a super strong taste of olive oil. We also ordered the breakfast egg rolls which left a lot to be desired- kind of flavorless. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their meal though! Overall a cute little place and seems to do very well! Will we return? Most likely not.

Our server was amazing but brought order out completely wrong! My order came out with cheese added and my cousins order came out with out cheese. With server allergy to gluten and dairy and get an omelette with cheese on it could have been very bad. I went to take a bit and noticed it. This kind of mistake (after being warned of issue) is not ok to just say sorry. You would have thought a discount would have been offered but all we receive was a 50.00 bill for 2 omelettes and a gluten free French toast. My first plate had a lot more fried potatoes than replace plate had. The food was good. At the price, it should have been given a discount or even free as we both pretty much ate separately due to it taking roughly another 5-10 minutes to come out. Little disappointed as I was looking forward to given a good review today as normally I enjoy eating here…
