basically kicked out during karaoke. good luck trying to have fun past 9pm in this place for karaoke Saturday if you’re under 21. the “DJ” was very kind at the beginning but then she starting telling my group that we weren’t allowed to sing anymore songs because we are “under 21 (can’t sing past 9pm???)”, “driving away business”, and “not singing good songs”. This was not an issue last week where these rules didn’t even exist. My table spent probably over $100 in food, drinks, and tip. We allowed other groups to sing and we respected other patrons. Just having a good time while also being respectful. Our business clearly meant nothing to them. Even the bartender was very rude and gave us nasty looks… he seemed annoyed every time we ordered something and had zero customer service skills. I understand the frustrations of working in customer service like this, but we were not treated fairly at all. It was clear that ageism was being displayed. If we were a group of 30 year olds and drunk and causing a whole ruckus, we would not have been kicked out. We were only asked to leave because we were in the 17-20 year range. People our age are always blamed for driving away business even when we are being perfect customers. I love supporting local businesses as I’ve been a gv resident my entire life, but this is just terrible. I was so excited to come back and bring other friends but now I’m not so sure I’ll be coming back. Such a shame. If you have an issue with people under 21 singing, just don’t even let us in the first place. We aren’t the problem, the business model is...
Read moreWorst service and experience we’ve ever received. After lugging our 2 year old in and waiting about 15 minutes to even be greeted, the server forgot the booster seat that we asked for. Being understanding we waited thinking that maybe she was just running behind but after an additional 10-15 minutes it never came. My boyfriend had to go up to the bar to ask the tender behind the bar for one. We got our drink order in, lemonade for the baby, water for me being as I’m pregnant and a beer for my boyfriend to which we waited an entire hour for anyone to acknowledge us again to take our food order. People walking in after us were served and tended to while we sat and waited.. and waited.. we eventually paid for the drinks and left because our son does have a bed time and he still needed to eat dinner. I’ve been a server myself for years and 5 tables would never cause me to make a table wait an hour before walking out because I didn’t acknowledge them. Especially one with a baby.. it’s not like we wanted to sit and watch my boyfriend enjoy his beer we were hungry😂 If you’re going to sit at the bar then maybe this is a good place to go but if you plan on eating in and sitting at the tables I’d say find literally...
Read moreMy husband and I got married at Iron Kettle Brewing on Sept. 30, 2023. We rented The Tower Room, their event space upstairs. It was perfect for our small, intimate wedding that we wanted. We had them cater our nacho bar which the guests absolutely loved. Unfortunately I didn't get pictures of the spread. Our caterer and bartender, Cynthia and Myra, went above and beyond our expectations that day. Their service was top notch. Myra even went so far as to helping my friend's son, who has special needs, that had a bit of an accident that day. She's truly an angel. Our event coordinator, Lynn, was always quick to respond with any questions or concerns I had. She and the owner, Jason, made sure we had everything we needed that day, including reserving parking spots out front for the coffee truck we hired to cater as well. I can't say enough nice things about this establishment. We loved it, our guests loved it and we'll definitely be back from time to time to take part in their yummy food and beer selections. I highly recommend Iron Kettle for your...
