El Tequilazo Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Grain Valley

Food was great. Prices were good. The people were nice and friendly. Definitely a place will go to again and again.

This is an update. Tonight I went in to order take out. Spent over $100. I had to wait an extra long time. They only has one person waiting on customers. Food came out wrong multiple times. The entire order was cold upon waiting for the multiple order fixes to just see that item was ice cold. The waiter let my order sit on the counter for 15 minutes then of course it was prepared incorrectly.

I asked to either have the food re-prepared or a refund. They said no that wouldnt happen. I asked for a discount on the wait, cold food, that I would have to cook when I just paid someone to do just that.

The waiter grabbed the food, said it wouldn't go to waste and it would be re-purposed. I told him that was wrong. No one should eat something I had my hands in and that was cold from sitting. Finally told him that I would take the food, cook it myself but a discount had to be done. He just shoved some money in my hand and that was it.

We eat here regularly, well we did. We will never eat there again. Service and food in just not what it used to be. I guess if they are re-purposing food that might explain the cold food, wrong order.

There are too many good Mexican restaurants around....

Today we tried the Burrito Spread. We would highly recommend it. We also had the chimichanga again. I chose all chicken but next time I get it I might try half chicken-half beef to mix it up a little. The salsa was chunky and I thought very good. Service was good. I took a picture of the chips and salsa but forgot to take a picture of the food. I was too hungry. Original post: This is a new Mexican Restaurant for downtown Grain Valley. We stopped in for lunch a few days before Christmas. Service was a little slow. Wait for food was a little long. There was only one other couple in there. My chimichanga was delicious! My husband only so-so enjoyed his burrito. The facility itself was what I would expect. It's downtown Grain Valley and in an old strip mall. The restaurant was clean and large. They have handwritten menus posted which gives it a "Mom and Pop" small town feel. Which could be good or bad, depending on your opinion of such things. Overall our dining experience was positive enough that we will return. It's worth trying it one time to see...

Not sure of it was an off night last night but they were extremely rude. My daughter took me there for my Christmas present. We got there at 7. By 8 they couldn't get us out of the restaurant fast enough. They started stacking the chairs on all of the other table chairs and then sweeping and mopping the floors while we were eating. It was taco Tuesday with a margarita special. My daughter ordered a Strawberry margarita after asking if frozen was included, they said no and so she ordered a non frozen one. They charged full price saying only the lemon was on special. Why wasn't that said on their sign or by their waitress? At 840 they sent a girl over (not our waitress) to ask if we were ready to pay because they were trying to close. My daughter replied yes but I thought you closed at 9. She replied were closing early. When I asked for a refill there was a huff. I chose this place as it was my favorite but after last night,...
