Review for Mi Poke
Pros: Clean Charming Japanese inspired aesthetic Extremely fresh ingredients Excellent boba tea(Strawberry Kiwi Fresh Fruit Tea) Very customer service oriented and attentive Fantastic ramen bowls Friendly atmosphere and smiling faces
Cons:
Soft open, so some wait times
I’ve been eagerly anticipating the opening of Mi Poke so I may have some bias. I was not disappointed by the soft open regardless of the wait. The strawberry kiwi Fresh Fruit boba tea was unique in presentation and was the freshest tasting and looking I’ve ever had.
All of the ingredients waiting to be prepared are at peak freshness and are arranged in an appealing and convenient fashion. My ramen was flawless. It looked like it was straight out of an illustration and tasted exactly like nostalgia for something I’d never had. The tonkatsu had the perfect amount of caramelization and char that it absolutely melted in my mouth. I’m a big fan of texture as well as flavor in my food and Mi Poke delivers everything you’d want in an upbeat and cute decor.
I’d recommend it as a date spot or someplace to bring your kids after school or on the weekends. They also do takeout and the portions are generous! Give Mi Poke a try and say hello to their friendly and professional staff. They’ve put a grand amount of work into this place and it...

First walking in, there wasn't really any indication of where to go so that was confusing. There's a line for the poke counter but if you don't want poke do you just go to the register? That didn't make any sense to me.
I ordered a Poke bowl, a bowl of ramen, and a drink. The poke bowl was alright, it tasted very fresh, but the portion I was given didn't even fill half the bowl. Also the girl that made it was quite rude and didn't want to answer any of my questions like she expected me to know everything as if it weren't the first week of being open.
The tea that I got (some kind of mango lime I think) was fantastic. Easily the best thing there. The worst thing was the ramen. I got the seafood ramen with miso broth and regular noodles. Maybe I'm spoiled by other fantastic ramen places around like Kirin, but the ramen here was not good. The egg in my soup (which is usually one of my favorite parts) tasted rancid and the mushrooms were so tasteless and chewy.
In total I was waiting in the store for a little over an hour.
I REALLY wanted to like this place because it's much closer than other similar places. I'll probably give it another shot, once they are more organized inside and know a bit more of what they are doing. If anything go there to...
Read moreI've never had a poke bowl before so I wasn't really sure what to expect. The place itself is super cute with the little tree in the window and the paintings on the wall. I got the make your own bowl with white rice and spicy chicken and some of the veggie toppings. I was surprised to find that the chicken in my bowl came cold, the rice was heated but the chicken seemed to have been taken out of the fridge and sprinkled on the bowl (it wasn't raw though, just cooked and then cooled) I'm not sure it this is normal but it definitely put me off. Besides that I really enjoyed the seasoning on the chicken and the rest of the bowl was pretty good. The biggest issue I have is that after eating here I've been experiencing severe stomach cramps and (to put it lightly) other symptoms of food poisoning. I probably wouldn't have said anything and just never came back but I've since seen other reveiws mentioning a similar experience and felt that it was best to share my experience as well, especially given that for just my bowl and a tea I...
