Don't walk, RUN. This place is worth every penny.
Where to start. Uhh well, the restaurant is pretty unassuming on the outside. However, the inside is quite nice. It has the great atmosphere that one would expect from a deli/cafe establishment.
Also, the service. Top Notch!! We overheard the staff talking amongst themselves and gleaned that several of the staff were pretty new. You wouldn't have known though because the synergy among them was superb. It's not often that you see the level of cooperation among a waitstaff to keep each table tended to. We were constantly getting refills on coffee and water by several waitresses. We also witnessed the happiness amongst the staff as everyone was cheerful and smiling often. Great to see- post Covid lows. Coffee was great. Hot and fresh brewed. Plus, at each table they have an assortment of creamer flavors to choose from. And now the showstoppers. The FOOD!!!
My wife and I ordered Chocolate Chip pancakes and the Irish Omelet. The pancakes were on par for what they are and are a very generous portion of 3 large cakes. But what made our tongues smack was the Irish Omelet. First off, its a massive meal. Second, this thing is loaded with all the great savory breakfast tastes. It has hashbrowns, perfectly seasoned and cooked corn beef hash, green peppers and onions, swiss cheese, and more; all INSIDE an omelet. My mouth is watering again while writing about it. The omelet also comes with a choice of toast and I got the Cinnamon Raisin. I didn't expect to get what I got. It was two very large texas toast size slices of bread that had plenty of raisin and cinnamon swirled in . To top them off, they had a dollup of icing on each piece to add extra sweetness. That was a welcome surprise as well. Since this place came highly recommended to us by our local friends, I also ordered a corned beef and pastrami reuben to go. Now I happen to be a bit of a snob when it comes to Reubens having sampled sooo many different versions over the years. I gotta say, despite the fact that I waited several hours before eating this sandwich cold, it easily makes it into my Top 3 of all time. The meats, phenomenal. Piled high, cut thin, and seasoned just right. I had them put the dressing on the side to keep it from getting soggy. So I tried the sandwich with and without dressing. Incredible even without. The meat just shines. Not much more to say about it.
So if anyone is considering eating here. Don't walk, RUN. You won't...
Read moreThe food was excellent! I ordered a half order of French toast and a grilled chicken pita ( I was in the mood for breakfast and lunch and couldn't choose 😁). My friend ordered a Philly cheese steak omelette and a half order of pecan pancakes. The chicken pita was so full of chicken! I assumed it would be the little square chunks of chicken, but no! It was marinated chicken breast, grilled and cut into large strips-- so good! And the lettuce and tomato on it were fresh! My friend's omelette was chock full of steak and peppers (she got it w/o onions). And her pancakes had whole pecans on top and throughout the actual pancake. My French toast had a good flavor even w/o syrup. I just wish there had been some crunch to it. So the food was excellent! The only caveats are the seating and the parking. Both are extremely limited! Maybe 15-20 parking spaces and only one handicap space. And then, once you get inside 10-15 booths and several pop up tables. But, I never felt rushed by our server, Stephanie. She was a total sweetheart. I would...
Read moreFirst impression is this is a small family diner, staff is very friendly and attentive. I was very happy with the service. As for the food- this was my first visit, and wow. I got the hunter burger off of their special menu board. Let me just say that negotiating this burger into my mouth, even with a fork and knife, was the most rewarding challenge that I've had all day. The patty itself is huge. I would say perfectly seasoned, and was topped with thick-cut bacon, grilled mushrooms, grilled onions, cheddar, fresh sliced tomatoes and pickles and what looked to be a special sauce between a toasted onion bun that was crisp and soft. I've paid more for burgers that I was a whole lot less impressed with. The onion rings were good too. Don't know how I haven't managed to eat here before, but I will definitely be back. Just realizing that I didn't catch my server's name, but she did a fantastic job. Just wow. This place is definitely worth a try if you...
