UPDATE 1/6/20: It seems this location it taking steps to improve. There is still some road left to travel but I can definitely see the improvement happening.
Drive thru service is getting faster, the food is more neatly wrapped and packaged and hot as well.
The only issue is that there was a "free whopper" promotion for completing a review - which I did. I attempted to redeem the free whopper (with purchase of specific other items), but had to explain the promotion to not one, but two people through the drive-thru speaker as cars lined up behind me, at which point they finally told me they understood. The price seemed wrong, but I figured maybe I did my math wrong. No, they still charged me for the "free" whopper. I have not had an opportunity to get it sorted out and it's probably too late now, so, my loss.
I'd recommend making sure your order-taking staff is aware of all promotions.
Original Review (2 stars): Not sure how this location stays in business. While the McDonald's down the road has cars lined up through the parking lot, Burger King maybe has 1 or 2 cars, at most, in the drive thru... and even then the wait times are pretty close to what they are at McDonald's, which is ridiculous.
I'm not super picky when it comes to fast food but I don't think I've ever received food from this location that didn't look like the employees simply threw the contents onto the wrapping paper from across the room and then crumpled the paper around it and slammed it into the bag. Today, I ordered a few cheeseburgers, and not only was there about a 5 minute wait due to the person in front of me (who was already at the last window by the time I pulled in), but the burgers were cold when I got them (not the first time), were all smashed, the cheese was half-on on one of them, and there was mayonnaise in the wrapping paper for some reason like they reused the paper from another sandwich or something.
The lady at the window was very nice and friendly, so points there. Keep her and fire everyone else.
The food is more expensive than McDonald's but poorly assembled and often cold, the wait times are the same with less customers to handle, and in past experiences the staff has been rude and/or dismissive.
The only reason I ever go to this BK anymore is when the line at McDonald's is too long. I think I'll just wait at McDonald's...
Read moreFire Amy as the GM, paranoid and rude. Rubs off on her employees. Sounds like she's been punishing people and employees for 25 years. GM with no customer service regard or forgotten training. First off, shout out to Dustin! You were so friendly and have great customer service. Dustin, find a different job or go make more money serving at a real restaurant, you have the talent for it. Unfortunately my order was wrong and lacking add-ons I paid extra for. The weather was scary bad outside so I couldn't go back. Went back a little over a week with my receipt looking to see if they would remake or refund me something. Greeted by a nice newer employee older woman as I walked in who couldn't help, then was looked at as crazy by a male with two nose rings. Granted I was in scrubs and just got done sanding drywall but felt I was instantly discriminated against for my appearance and acted like I was lying. Didn't even look at my receipt. Told I should have called immediately and was told to call Amy the GM next day and wow she was rude. Said what I did was strange then denied calling me strange or what I did was strange. I said you don't need to call me strange, just explain your policy and remake my order. She cut me off a few times and then proceeded to use the word odd instead of strange. No apologies. Seems like a paranoid GM teaching the employees to shame complaints away. With a policy of determine they are strange or odd and then help.......
Read morePersonally at this location I very rarely ever get hot/fresh food unless I only order a whopper, but the same cant be said for my Girlfriend, she normally gets decent food. Normally I get a Chicken Fry meal, and just about every time the chicken fries are either just cold, or so old that they're hard and nearly inedible. My fries are fresh maybe 1 out of 4 visits as well, so not very often. I dont feel like I should have to explicitly ask for fresh food every single time I come in order to not get old food. Just seems like they need to keep a better eye on how long food has been sitting there getting old and not serve it, Im sure there isnt a single person who would mind waiting a little bit longer for fresh food. But I also understand that the employees are probably held to some sort of Drive Thru time requirement or standard so they also want to get people out of their line as quick as possible.
Now on the other side of things, normally the customer service here is great, I think in all my time of going here I've had one younger girl at the window who had a bit of an attitude, but as someone who also works in food service, I understand having an attitude at jobs like these. There's one woman who has been there just about every time we've gone who is great, very friendly and always quickly and accurately rings up our order. Love the friendly faces, not so much love for the old...
