I’m not one to write reviews, but I’ve had back to back bad experiences at this Tim Hortons. A few weeks ago, I ordered a refresher at the drive through and a large double double. I was asked how I wanted my refresher made, and I was confused because I’ve never been asked that before, so I asked what the woman taking my order meant and she said she didn’t know how to make the refresher. A little confusing but alright. I was then asked 3 times what type of coffee I wanted, and stated all 3 times I wanted a large double double, and my order still came out wrong. Also when I pulled up to the window I was handed my coffee and told to have a nice day. I waited patiently for my refresher, the woman came back to the window and asked if she could help me with anything, when I told her I was still waiting for my refresher (which I had paid for) she rolled her eyes at me, huffed and puffed and asked me again how I wanted it made. Eventually I got my order. I went back to this Tim Hortons again a few weeks later, unfortunately. I ordered a large double double, a medium iced carmel coffee (black), a plain bagel with butter (for me) and a plain bagel with cream cheese (for my husband). The double double was correct and that was it. I was handed a large carmel iced coffee with cream, which I stated I ordered the coffee black and the woman at the window said “the color of the coffee is just from the carmel.” Strange because I order a black carmel iced coffee pretty often and it’s never a light brown like a coffee with cream would look like. She said she would make me a new one and sure enough it was a black carmel iced coffee with no cream like I had asked. I thank her for remaking it. She hands me my 2 bagels and I start to drive off, I check the bagels and both plain bagels have cream cheese. I can’t eat cream cheese so I most definitely wouldn’t order myself a cream cheese bagel. That’s why I ordered one with butter for me. I went inside and told the employees my order was wrong, I ordered one plain bagel with butter and one with cream cheese as received two with cream cheese. The woman behind the counter said to just give me a plain bagel, to which I said I asked for butter on the bagel. She then said “just throw it together” and gave me the plain bagel that was toasted at an earlier time just sitting out and given to me cold. Which whatever but everything that happened prior just frustrated me. The woman who took my order said multiple times “she ordered it with cream cheese.” Not sure why someone who can’t eat cream cheese would order myself a cream cheese bagel but okay. The screen where I ordered the bagels from had the right order but what I received somehow wasn’t reciprocated so many times. I hate being the person to write an annoying review like this but this Tim Hortons has continued to be disappointing and frustrating to go to. Not to mention the drunk man in/outside...
Read moreMy son Dominique Suggs was an employee at this location and had been for a few months. He worked on average 4 days a week. He was well past his probationary period and a hard worker who implemented the Mass Transportation Authority to get to work most days while attending school. He is only seventeen years old. He was told one day that the register was $45 dollars short and that he was expected to pay the money out of his pocket. I told him that this was not a procedure that legitimate businesses follow and I asked him how many people used that register on that evening and he said three, which was evidenced by them deciding to make each individual pay $15 each in a note that Melissa, the store manager posted on the bulletin board, along with the name of the three employees. I told my son to take a picture of it because it seemed as if she and possibly other individuals were committing extortion. I asked him if they had video surveillance and he said that they did. I also asked him if a legitimate investigation or audit was performed and he stated not to his knowledge. Then they went further and shorted his paycheck four hours and did this continually for two pay periods. I confronted them because after the first pay period they told him that they was taking him off the schedule until he payed his portion. I advised him not to because by doing so he would be agreeing to the accusation and also because if he allowed them to extort money from him they would do it again. I also made Melissa provide documentation of the incident in writing which she did. They ended up reimbursing him for the four hours on his final check in the third pay period and did not pay him for the last two days that he worked. So not only did they attempt to commit a crime they also illegally withheld wages from him that he worked for. I believe this was because he is young and a minority. And if they did it to him, they have or will attempt to do it to others. I called the corporate office to file a complaint and never received a response from him. But as in everyday actions, “evil is justifiable of its own”. I have retained documents concerning this incident and can produce them on demand as I am submitting this complaint...
Read moreFYI to those of you who are complaining recently: If you come to Tim Horton's in the afternoon, the coffee will likely have been sitting a little while unless you go through drive through. If you come in the busy morning they will likely have a fresh pot brewed every few minutes as they get EXTREMELY BUSY because of how many satisfied customers they have on a daily basis who keep coming back.
On the other hand....
Some mornings are different than others. If there is a large demand for donuts (i.e. someone in line in front of you just ordered a dozen, and a person two orders in front of them ordered two dozen) you can't be surprised if there is a lack of a specific type of donut. There is one single baker baking as fast as he or she can while dozens are being sold at a time. Bakers are trained to stick to the numbers, don't overbake or else there could be waste, so upon making a list of product to bake, that list could quickly become moot once the dozens start going out the window. Try to be understanding, in the attempt to provide fresh products constantly, with only one baker on hand, there's going to be shortages from time to time. Note that this is not how McDonalds or other fast food joints approach their service. They have a group of employees in the back during peak hours, each doing one part of the chain of production. Having ONE baker at a Tim Horton's during the peak morning rush means there's almost certainly going to be at least one product that is in the oven that is not yet out in...
