I was excited to try this place, but there were too many issues for me to want to return. The place is beautiful inside, but there is a very strong off-putting smell when you enter that was unappetizing. Something about the smell that reminded me of a cheap sushi joint, which is odd for a bakery. The prices were outrageous. Just shy of $50 for 2 small batches of donut holes (don’t remember the Greek name for them), 2 lattes (which were pretty small), and a piece of baklava. The food was also very slow to come out despite the place not being very busy. When you have 2 back to back customers ordering donuts and haven’t started either order, it seems it would be better to fry them off together before dressing them up. It looked as though there was room for both orders in the frier at once. The biggest issue for us was the cost. The food not worth the cost. We had the baklava latte, the pistachio latte, snickers donuts, a piece of baklava, and the Dubai pistachio/chocolate donuts. They were ok but nothing special. There’s quite donut places in the area that have a better product at a cheaper price. More than half of the 16 oz...
Read moreOrdered a plain latte. Staff were wonderful and helpful with the ordering experience. It took nearly 20 minutes for my drink with only a few orders ahead of me and I ended up dumping out 90% of it. My plain latte came with whipped cream which I've never had before, it's an odd choice. My latte was inedible. It was steamed so hot I couldn't hold it for several minutes, and it was about half an hour before I could take my first sip. I frequently drink hot lattes and that is not normal. Lattes should be steamed somewhere between 140-160 degrees and this was probably closer to 190 or even higher. The milk tasted curdled and the espresso so bitter I nearly spit out my first sip. I would have asked for a refund but at this point the line was about 10 people deep for some reason. We went outside and all parties dumped their coffee. A complete waste of money for the coffee. For such a beautiful business and so much money spent on cups I wish they'd invest a little money in their products. I've heard amazing things and cannot figure out why. Would...
Read moreChange your chai tea recipe, my friend got hers, I tried it and it basically tastes like cinnamon milk.
I asked for them to add more chai to mine, which had an up-charge. It ended up being $8.50 for a 16 oz chai latte, which seems insane to me.
I received it and it still was too watery. The barista was kind and asked me how I felt, and put another round in.
It still didn’t taste great but at that point I was feeling like a “Karen” so I said it was good and left.
I will give it another shot since it’s new, but the chai is out for me.
Also I was happy to see gluten free desserts which I will try...
