DogMahal DogHaus/Ojata Records — Restaurant in Grand Forks

I was told about this place by a friend, and decided to check it out today. I had ALWAYS noticed this restaurant but I figured it was closed due to the lack of cars, but maybe that's due to the covid-19 pandemic. Needless to say, this place was everything I imagined. I ordered an under dog, which is basically a chilli cheese dog with onions and it was utterly delicious. And very huge at a reasonable price, they loaded it with lots of toppings, very generous with the amount might I add. It was very good. Sonic's Coney ain't got NOTHING on dogMahal.. the environment was very peaceful, I was the only dine in customer so it felt very relaxing having the place to myself. They had soft rock music playing which was awesome. I finished eating and still felt like sitting here in my booth browsing over the display of comic books and records on the shelves. The ppl where very nice and polite. The guy that made my order was very pleasant in taking my order and made sure my hotdog was to my satisfaction. My overall experience of this place was awesome. I got invited to listen to some live music by my friend. It was awesome. Loved the music. Reminded me of being in bands which brought back good memories. Then Super Frog Man took the stage with some crafty antics as a professional wrestler. It was awesome. His opponent threw him on tacks which he dumped out of a box. They were stuck in his elbows. I absolutely loved it. What a hoot! Super Frogman finally bodyslammed his opponent on a table. It seriously looked like it hurt, and the table actually broke. I saw this place online in a list of the best hotdogs in each state. I tried to come last March but it was closed. I finally got to try them today. I got an underdog. Big meaty frank with chilies cheese and onions. I had them add mustard. This was an outstanding dog second only to a jimmy dog in hazleton pa. It is a very eclectic place with a huge collection of comics and vinyl. A band was playing live music. There was also a chicken and waffle bar and a decorate your own Christmas cookie table.
