I love this store! It has so many games and options for all ages. There are many types of games and figures for painting. They even sell the paint as well if you need some! If you don't want to buy a game without trying it they have tables set up so you can play any game you want (that's open) and try it before buying. They also have extensive knowledge about their games if you don't want to play at that time and/or are just looking for an honest review.

I brought my 2 young kids in tonight. We were going to get a father’s day gift for their dad. My kids were not behaving due to being overly excited about all of the pokemon stuff in the store. It was a lot! After we checked out one of the employees gave each of my kids a pack of cards and it made their whole week!

I go here nearly every Sunday to play yugioh and the staff is super helpful. And if you have an interest in something, and have people, you can always bring it up to them to see if you can play there. A true nerd haven for anyone.

I literally couldn't ask for better customer service.

This staff is very friendly, and very VERY knowledgeable. I play a fair amount of Magic the Gathering, (enough to where I know the game and play it once every week or two, but not enough to where it is excessive), and their isn't a question on earth the staff couldn't answer for you. They know everything about cards from the late 90's to cards being released next year.

Of course, Magic the Gathering isn't the only thing the store sells. They have comic books, collectables, Yu-Gi-Oh, Settlers of Catan, and all sorts of other games. There was a trading card game I played as a kid (Pirates of the Mysterious Islands) that has been discontinued for the past eight years. I searched literally everywhere in Grand Forks to find it, and behold, the Grand Cities Games staff, behind a box of all sorts of collector's items, found the game. I had absolutely no faith that any of the staff would have any idea what it was, but they knew!

The store also holds Magic Tournaments on a weekly basis (every Friday night), which are always a blast.

The store is very clean, neat, and organized, and prices are exactly what they should be. Nothing in the store is overpriced as far as I know.

The store has comfortable tables in the back that are open for people to play board and card games on. I have used the store many times to play games with my friends.

The store has a very comfortable vibe to it, which is really hard to achieve, especially for a trading card store. Overall, the store is great, and I couldn't ask for (or even think up) any ways for the place to be better.

If the store owners read this at all, thank you for the great...

Asside from perhaps the service you can get at the local Red Lobster or Olive Garden, Grand Cities Game has the best customer service in the area. The staff Know pretty much anything you could need to ask ranging from when certain items are going to be released, to information about a specific item in a game you probably never heard of until that day. Wide array and selection of MTG cards in both singles and packs, both in and out of print, L5R, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Pokemon, Hero-Clix, Warhammer, and much much more paint this store is a feeling that you can find what you need.

Additionally, i have personally spent excetional amounts of time and money at this establishment, and i have to say that i am never disapointed with the quality of product i recive. Sure i have had bad packs, but that is just it: THEY ARE PACKS. You are not going to be able to get everything you want right away, and that is why singles are for sale at a decent price.

The last aspect i want to bring up is that on almost any day, you can show up to the store sit down and just start playing games with people. Sure you may not buy 500 bucks in products that is all fine and dandy because you having a good time. The best thing for a buisness is happy people, and I can not think of any store that makes me happier to...

I personally feel that this place is a local treasure that should be protected, so the younger generations may follow this United community of fellow gamers, collectors, comic lovers and just all around fellow nerds alike, this place is like a community by it self, where you can strike a conversation with like minded and very kind staff that don't shy away from the younger kiddos, but rather, encourage and share stories of their favorite hero or even Pokémon cards.

The prices are a little high but that is understandable with a local shop, it all depends on supply and demand as well as value on specific things.

But they have a massive collection of Warhammer, Funkos, Manga, comics, marvel, DC, the walking freaking dead, this place is loaded with so much! I highly recommend that you check this...
