Smiling Moose — Restaurant in Grand Forks

I've eaten here several times and have never been disappointed. Great food, good service, great prices. You really cant go wrong here.

Stopped in on Jan 14 at 1145. No one is in line and 4 people total in the store. I stood at the register for 10 minutes without being acknowledged at all while the two women working were loudly talking back an forth about grill temperatures and one asking the other to run her sales report from the register while I was standing right in front of it. Finally one of them decided to take my order. After another 10 minutes or so they had to come out and ask the customer ahead of me what he had ordered. I understand that the food is made to order, but they were literally cooking one order at a time. another 5 minutes goes by and they came out and asked ME what I ordered. So, now I'm about 30 minutes in to this and neither the guy ahead of me or I had our food. Neither of those two women have any business being behind either a grill or the counter. Their customer service is horrendous. They have no organizational skills and can not expedite orders or simply keep track of who ordered what. I don't know if the owner reads these, but they were handing out $10 Moose bucks certificates like candy due to their inability to multi-task and keep orders straight. I will go back because I like the food, but I will walk out if I see wither of them working while I'm there. This is in stark contrast to the big guy that works there who not only took my order, on Wednesday morning the 10th, but made my breakfast sandwich as well in less...

He ran to the grocery store last-minute to grab cream cheese and even portioned it into individual cups. He hand-washed every grape, kept the bagels and coffee warm upon delivery, and carefully wrapped everything to ensure it was germ-free. He was exceptionally cautious keeping protections in place for dietary restrictions as a number one priority. His professionalism, enthusiasm, and commitment to excellence made all the difference—everyone at the event was so appreciative!

Patrick is great!! Stopped in here after the gym one day curious if they sell sliced lunch meat by the pound (they don’t) but Patrick was quick to explain things to me; very friendly; we chatted about the area for a few minutes because I’m new to the area. His kind demeanor left an impression that brought me back a couple days later to try some food - it was good, again Patrick was there and very nice. I hope he gets the recognition he deserves because he knows how to make a connection with customers and make people feel welcomed in the restaurant. I will definitely be back to try...
