Hi, I just wanted to let you know how disappointed I was in my visit to Denny's earlier this week. Generally the food is good, the service is quick, and the prices are reasonable. But this time I felt there was failure on all counts. When we came in it took a while to get seated. We stood there for quite a while before someone actually came up and said somebody would be with us in a little bit. And then it took another while for them to actually seat us. We finally got a table and it became apparent that there were only three waitresses/hostess and one cook working. Doesn't seem like enough people to keep a restaurant open. If there aren't enough people working, maybe you should think about letting people know that their wait times may be extra because of that. It took quite a while to get our food, and when it came it was not hot. My daughter ordered the berry waffle slam, and all of it was lukewarm. She had ordered a fried egg, but the yolk came runny. I called the waitress back over and she said she would have the cook make a new egg along with hotter bacon and sausage. The new egg did not have a runny yolk, instead the yolk was rather rubbery, and almost looked like a hard boiled yolk. A fried egg is not that difficult. And the bacon and sausage still were not hot. I had ordered a Cali club sandwich, and it usually comes somewhat warm, but it was completely cold. The fries weren't very warm either. It made for a very off-putting experience. The waitress was nice, and tried to help us, but with so few people working, I'm sure the cook was slammed, and wasn't able to put much effort into each meal. If I had known this, I would not have gone to eat there that night. In addition, I could see that the cook was not wearing a hairnet or hat of any kind. Doesn't that go against health code? When we paid, the total was $40.70, and that included a tip, since I didn't think the waitress should suffer for management's inability to run the restaurant or the cook's inability to keep things warm. That seems like a lot of money for mediocre service and disappointing food. We went to Denny's specifically because it's usually quick and the food is good. We had an errand to run after eating, but because it took so long at the restaurant we ended up not getting there until the store was about to close. I definitely won't be back...
Read moreThe only thing typical about this Dennys is the food. The food was hot and tasty. Same as every other Dennys you go to, so that's airways nice. Now getting said food however, that was the challenge. There was plenty of staff, many seemed like they were doing nothing and a few seemed like they were doing many things. The organization was completely out of order. We got seated quick enough. The booth we had a broken seat on one side, like the support below was not there anymore so you had to sit on the sides to have a crossbar for your butt. We would have asked to move but no one came by for a good long while, everyone who wandered by looked rushed yet not occupied. Anyhow, we finally got our order, then we got each plate of each item of food individually. One plate for pancakes, one for eggs, one for bacon. There were 2 of us so there was a total of 5 superset trips the waitress made to bring all of our food. She did bring both plates of eggs at once. Mind you, we were seated literally across from the window to the kitchen, all she had to do was turn around and set it down. I'm just not sure what was going on there, there were a few customers but not busy weigh to warrant this kind of odd service. The waitress was pleasant enough even if not present enough. I just wanted a cheap plate of food that I knew what I was gonna get, and it served that purpose for sure. Other than that, I'll likely sirens the extra couple bucks elsewhere just so i don't have to endure the 10am Dennys show again. I do not recommend this place as a sit down, surely a to-go...
Read moreWe just had a horrible experience at this location. It seems like most of the issues were due to short staffing but also rushed cooks. It took 10 minutes to get in, seated, and drinks, which is not bad. However we spent the next 45 minutes waiting for our food. The four top behind us was seated 10 minutes after us and got their food 15 minutes earlier than we did. When the food did come I was missing a sausage which the server did ask the cook to make another before she brought our food to us, but took another 10 minutes to get to our table (overheard the cook saying oh yeah it's in the microwave 🤢). My husband's burger buns were fried to a crisp and hard as a rock, which they replaced after another 5 minutes of trying to get the server's attention. His toppings were also all wilted, soggy, and brown so he didn't even eat any of them, as well as the patties were dripping with grease. We also had to go up to the counter to get silverware to even begin eating several minutes after we got our food and attempted to get our server's attention. Overall it was a very poor experience. Our server seemed more concerned with taking care of some personal business on her break than taking care of her tables. I really hope this location can become more consistent with their service, we will not be returning with these kinds of problems. I understand it's just a Denny's but wilted food and poor service still isn't acceptable with...
