Aztecas Family Restaurant is a culinary gem that takes diners on a flavorful journey through the vibrant and diverse cuisine of Mexico. During my recent visit, I had the pleasure of immersing myself in the authentic flavors and warm ambiance of this family-owned establishment.

The menu at Aztecas Family Restaurant is a true delight for Mexican food enthusiasts. From sizzling fajitas to mouthwatering enchiladas and flavorful tacos, each dish showcases the rich tapestry of Mexican flavors. One dish that truly stood out was their signature carne asada. The tender, marinated steak was cooked to perfection and served alongside aromatic rice, flavorful beans, and freshly made tortillas. Every bite was a burst of savory goodness that transported me straight to the heart of Mexico.

What impressed me most about Aztecas Family Restaurant was the attention to detail and commitment to quality. The ingredients used in each dish were fresh and flavorful, and the flavors were expertly balanced. The presentation of the dishes was also commendable, with vibrant colors and artistic garnishes.

The warm and inviting ambiance of Aztecas Family Restaurant further enhanced the dining experience. The friendly and attentive staff made me feel like part of the family, providing excellent service and ensuring that every aspect of the meal was enjoyable.

Whether you're seeking a satisfying lunch or a memorable dinner, Aztecas Family Restaurant is a must-visit destination for Mexican cuisine lovers. With its authentic flavors, attentive service, and inviting atmosphere, it's the perfect place to experience the rich culinary heritage of Mexico. Prepare to indulge in a truly delicious and satisfying dining experience that will leave you planning...

I honestly believe the positive reviews of this restaurant are written by the owner and probably close friends and family. I ordered the Cielo Mar Y Tierra- a go to dish for myself at any new Mexican restaurant I am trying. Firstly, the flour tortillas are not even made by hand. Sure they don't advertise it but the sheer simplicity should warrant at least an attempt. The flour tortillas somehow taste worse than store bought or even Taco Bell for that matter. The seasoning on the chicken was actually good but the chicken itself was way over cooked and really dry. I have zero clue why their are mushrooms on this plate at all or why the shrimp went over them. Traditionally not a thing and a weird combination. Shrimp seemed like they were boiled as they had a spongy consistency. Mushrooms are mushrooms, can't really mess that up but somehow they did. There are about 3 different cook batches from what it seems since they ranged from being raw to over cooked. Lastly, I've never had carne asada be so greasy and have a weird consistency. My fork could not pierce the meat! What even is that? Haha. With everything said, service was amazing and food came out decently quick while they were half full. Ambiance is extremely casual with some...

This is a long review and I apologize in advance. The server got my order wrong twice. I order grilled shrimp tacos (3) with nothing spicy on it. I got fish tacos. I ate one while they redid my order. The server brought me grilled shrimp tacos loaded with very hot salsa. I literally could not eat it. Rather than have them remake it once again, I decided to forgo it all together. Server offered me a free dessert. Fine, thank you. Got the bill and the full price of the taco platter was on it. I ate one taco and had ice cream (that they offered). I asked the server to please remove it and charge me for what I actually ate. 1 taco and ice cream. Server said that's why he gave me the complimentary ice cream and he couldn't change it because the manager wasn't there. Ice cream in no way makes up for an order messed up twice. Basically, I told him to figure it out because I wasn't paying for his mistake, especially when I couldn't eat it. He somehow figured it out and adjusted the bill to what I actually had....

Nice little place with friendly staff and casual vibe. It was not the worst we've had in Junction but we are still looking for the Best. My chicken poblano enchilada was so under seasoned and needed a lot more of the sauce because it was dry. The rice was not "Mexican rice" just dry unseasoned brown rice. I've been searching for good sopapillas somewhere and sorry,Azteca, yours were just terrible: swimming in a pool of honey that made the flat, soggy 'little pillows' even worse- honey should always be served to the side. I took a few bites and left the rest of the plate and no one else liked them either. However, I would return and try fajitas or another dish here because of the atmosphere – no loud music overhead – and service.

Had the Tres Amigas enchiladas, three different toppings and three different stuffings! Corn tortillas stuffed with shredded beef, chicken, pork and covered with green sauce, red sauce and mole sauce. Served with sides of rice and refried beans topped with queso. The salsa is definitely homemade, though very liquidy, it had fresh cilantro, onions, a little bit of heat, and tomatoes, it was very good as were the crispy corn chips. The enchiladas were delicious and served fast and hot. The green sauce and the red sauce tasted as expected, however, I found the mole was mostly sweet. To me, a good mole is slightly bitter with hints of chocolate flavor.
