Edited to responsd to the store's comment: The only reason I made this comment in the first place is instead of the company hearing me out they hastily and rudely told me to leave a review. To clarify, I was standing by the pickup counter because I had placed a to-go order. Other places I frequent (including other Bahama bucks) have similar setups, so my behavior was not peculiar. Since you don't allow pickup orders in the drive-thru, it would be helpful to place a sign indicating where orders should be picked up inside your store, rather than blaming me. Many restaurants/stores have pick up only stations—I am sure you know this. Additionally, my back was not turned; I wish I could see this video, because I vividly remember facing the work space. I stood at the pickup counter for a few minutes and was the only customer in the store at that time (I see you didn’t provide the time I was at the pick-up counter—interesting). At least one of your staff members saw me, and while I can accept that some may not have noticed me, I know for a fact that one staff member did see me and admitted it.
What is disheartening is this commenter’s claim that I was not at the pickup counter when I was clearly standing by the pickup sign. I don't understand why you would provide false information. A more helpful solution-focused response would’ve gone a long way. In the grand scheme of themes, I don’t blame the staff, they are teens/young adults. It’s the owner’s response that is surprising. He is more interested in proving his point than hearing from his loyal customers. And that is evident in his responses to unfavorable reviews. Such a disappointment. Take care!
Original Review:
I went to pick up a to-go order and was not greeted or acknowledged after a few minutes, which I thought was peculiar since I was the only customer in the establishment. An employee passed by me multiple times without saying anything. Assuming my order would be placed in the pickup section, I didn’t make a big deal out of it at first.
Eventually, I decided to get someone’s attention, and the employee retrieved my order from the freezer. I expressed my disappointment that I had waited for an order that was clearly ready, and mentioned that if someone had acknowledged me being there, I could have been in and out. I also pointed out that, despite me clearly standing at the counter and being the only one in the building, no one greeted me or asked if I needed assistance.
They mentioned they hadn’t seen me, but I had made eye contact with an employee at least twice. When I asked him directly why he hadn’t said anything, he claimed he didn’t “think” he saw me. I found it hard to understand why he would lie about seeing me, and to me, this felt biased. I can’t help but think would I be treated differently if I looked differently. However, I recognize it may not have been intentional. At the very least though, they could’ve just apologized for not greeting me, that seems like customer service basics. Or simply saying, ma’am have you been helped, considering I’m the only one at the counter.
The shift leader said there wasn't anything she could do to make amends, but she encouraged me to leave a bad review, so that is what I am doing. Lol. And I frequent Bahama Bucks very often and use them for many of my corporate events. I would encourage them to be more aware of their surroundings. And I will be mindful to give grace...
Read moreLiterally just had the most uncomfortable customer experience at bahama bucks in grand prairie.
Y'all, this is usually one of my go to places when I want something frozen. Tasty. And sweet. This was my first time at this location. And definitely my last.
#1 we walk in and my sandals are sticking to the floor. I thought I was gonna lose my sandal.
Anyway... I order & tried something new. I got the mangonada extreme, it has chamoy, mangos, chili salt. & a tamarindo straw. I Got my order. My cup was super sticky. & this isn't uncommon because it's basically a snow cone. It's expected..Plus all the toppings that came with it . It’s bound to be sticky ..So like always I just asked for an additional cup so I could double cup it. Get my picture for yelp & snapchat and leave...
Y'all this unfriendly man straight up told me "No" offered to wipe it off with some pre-used towel. Or scoop off my top into a new cup and give me a flat top or just dump it into a new cup. I actually wanted my snow cone and I had already handed him my cup.
So it was behind the counter. Because I'm under the impression he's just gonna double cup it. ( mind you any Bahama bucks I've been to , they have no problem handing anyone a cup and they continue to serve the rest of their Customers. Simple
So me and this man are just standing there staring at each other, just uncomfortable as ever. He directs me to some cups at the front... Basically dixie size water cups. I'm like sir, I just want a cup the same size (which is a small , I ordered a small) there is no need to remake or ruin this order ... May I just please have another cup he tells me $0.50 now I'm thinking... So remaking this drink don't make I any sense, him pouring it into another cup didn't make sense to me either. Because you’re gonna make another mess and still use another cup. Like just give me another cup. Please! We have another uncomfortable moment of staring ... I shake my head in disappointment and just ask for a refund.
Never have I ever left any bahama bucks unsatisfied let alone asked for a refund. All behind a cup... A cup y'all.... Now, Was a small cup really worth such an...
Read moreLet me start with, the only positive part of this visit was the cashier at the drive-thru window. She was super nice and patient, at least the first time through.
Whenever I visit, which used to be a lot more often, but because there always seems to be something wrong with my experience, I've cut back quite a bit.
Today, I ordered two everest split flavor with extra juice and a pup cup. Everything seemed fine when I received my order, then I pulled into a parking spot so my dog could have his cup. While he enjoyed that I transferred my sno cones into Tupperware for easier travel and makes it easier to store in my freezer. Dropping the second cup into the container I realized that my everest "extra juice" was actually HALF juice because the entire bottom half was white as snow. The reason why I order extra is to avoid this very issue since it seems to happen every single time.
When I realized, I tried to go inside to get it fixed but the lobby was already closed for the night, instead of getting back into my car to circle the entire building just to get back into the drive-thru I walked and stood in between two cars with my dog waiting.
I get to the window, she realizes I just got my cones and that I'm back with a snow cone in a container and she just stares at me, so I tell her I asked for extra juice as I show her. She asked if I just wanted more juice for it, like I mean yes I would like the juice that's supposed to be on it and the extra I asked for. Well the employees thought not only to saturate it this time but also to have it go for a small swim in the container. When she handed it back she didn't even say one word, not "have a good night" not "I'm sorry" very different from ten minutes earlier.
I just don't understand why this a recurring issue. I ordered with an extra ammenity that is offered to avoid an issue and then the issue is blatanly handed to me.
I would really like to continue frequenting this establishment, but something needs to...
