Never had an issue with this place until today. My wife orders food for me to pick up on the way home from work and says she put it under my name. Ok great, so I go through the drive thru and tell them the name of the pick up to which the girl on the other end sounds confused and tells me to pull forward to 2nd window. I do so and I am informed that there is no order under my name. I proceed to give variations of my name and what my wife may have used to which finally we come to the root of the issue. They thought my name was pronounced a different way. No harm no foul so I let them know of so you do have an order for Stephen (pronounced Steven) her response is no we have an order for Stephen (pronounced Stefan) it was kind of funny at first but the more I tried to correct and claim that was my food she was almost like she wasn't going to give it to me until I pronounced my name her way... this escalated quickly. Other staff in the store were giggling and cracking up over this show they were creating at my expense to which I finally lost it and demanded my food and apology with a few choice words. I guess everyone in there was of all one mind because they all started coming to that window to the defense of thier staff member who refused to give my order based on how my name is or isn't pronounced. Staff in the resterant were flipping inappropriate gestures and offering nothing other than "oh we were just playing" I demanded to speak to the manager and this kid who looks like he gets to leve high school early for a work program comes to the window and offers a minimal "sorry" it was the most forced unapologetic sorry I have ever heard. I make a point to get the district manager number from them to file a complaint to which I get a piece of paper that reads "district manager" and a phone number I can only hope is actually the number. Golden chick if yoy are out there I hope you are reading this I would really like to discuss your choice...
Read moreThere was only one car ahead of me and I had to wait to order. The drive thru cashier act as if she didn’t know the menu I asked for 6 rolls she said they only came in 4. I preferred the leg and thigh roasted chicken and got to the window to ask for another 4 pieces of rolls to be added on and was told they only sold in 6 and 12 by Ricardo. I received the order and pulled off, then decided to check my order. I got all fried chicken. I backed up and told them that my order was wrong and it seems like they were confused so I asked for a refund they kept trying to get me to change to get the right order. I told them no I wanted a refund, then the heavyset Hispanic lady with the blonde hair began cursing. I asked her to speak up and she stated she was not talking to me. It took over five minutes for me to get a refund, and as Ricardo was handing me my money, some of the money dropped on the ground. I told him that I wanted the 11th sense that I wasn’t picking it up and he told me that he didn’t drop it either and I told him I was not leaving until I got my $.11. And I guess the cashier or the supervisor whoever the heavyset Hispanic lady with blond hair is started laughing and said that’s funny that you want $.11. And I told her that if she was paid $10 an hour and they only paid her $9, would she want that? These are group of unprofessional people to the point and wait, I almost had to call the police to get a refund I would never spend my money at another golden chick. And they did not even dispose of the fried chicken in the roles in which I touch with my hand when I gave it back to them so I hope that it wasn’t a result I will be calling the...
Read moreBack in the day manager trained there staff. They did more to insure a great customer experience. Trade the employees to give that experience. Now days nobody seems to care. I say all that to say this. People spend their hard earned money and expectations are high. You don't expect to spend $11 for two halves of one half half of a fish. In other words half a fish that cut in half again. But anyway the two piece I just got were dried out common sense says hey this fish is dried throw it out and fry some fresh so you don't get reviews like this. Calling the store manager does no good otherwise it would've never made it out the store to begin with. Oh they'll say bring it back and we'll replace it smh so now I'm spending more in gas to go back for the meal that should've been right the first time. In my life time is money I bill a minimum $65 an hour who's paying for my time to come back to get what I already paid too much for that should've been right from the start. I'm so done at this point 11 bucks for warmer dried fish in the trash. Managers you have got to do better management...
