I wish I recorded how these employees at Whataburger treated me. This specific location is racist. I walked up to the door as I saw two Hispanic customers walking out with a bag of food. As soon as I walked up to the door it locked. As I am writing my review the time is 12:21am CST (1/21/24). The sign on the logo says "24hours" but they were allegedly closed & refused service to me. I walked up to the drive thru window as a last resort and the big fat black lady and the Mexican GM guy immediately discriminated against me.
She and the GM guy walked away laughing at me while the lady was holding her cash register, as soon as they saw me walking up to the window. I understand you're supposed to have a car to be in the drive thru, but again this was LAST RESORT. I'm on vacation visiting from Phoenix so i don't have a car. The fact that she walked away as soon as she saw me was very unprofessional on her end.
I stood at the window waiting for her to come back and acknowledge me which she did after 2 minutes. She asked me without opening the window, what I wanted with an attitude as if I wasn't supposed to be a paying customer buying food. I told her I wanted to order food obviously but the doors were locked even though it says 24 hours on the sign. She said "you have to be in a car to order food at the drive thru" I told her "there were 2 people that just walked out of the lobby as I walked up." She says "I don't know what you're talking about" then walks away. You can't make this stuff up. I told her she was very unprofessional. This woman is racist to her own kind and I'm very disappointed I had to take time out of my life, to write a negative review which I rarely do.
As a black man I face discrimination all the time but never thought I'd have to deal with it while simply trying to order food. Again two Hispanic people walked out with food but the lady and GM denied me service. I'll never come to this location again and never forget this day. The funny thing is I was there an hour ago ordering food with no problem. I only came back a second time cause I got hungry again. I stand by everything I said. That lady needs to fix her attitude and be professional. There's no need for racism and discrimination as bad as the world already is. Hopefully she gets fired and learns her lesson. This location is a joke and will eventually go out of business if they continue hiring racist people. This is pathetic, horrible...
Read moreRecently went to whataburger with my parents. Suffice to say I'm NEVER GOING BACK. While waiting for our food to be done, the guy making the fries stepped out of the kitchen to interact with another customer. He proceeded to touch said customers hair 🤢. He then went back to cooking and DID NOT CHANGE HIS GLOVES. When he returned back to the kitchen he proceed to toich his face and nose WITH THE SAME GLOVES.We were disgusted by that. He then brought us our food. We atleast managed to eat the burgers but we did not want to eat the fries. I ended up throwing my fries away because I did not want to eat them. While eating our burgers we observed him do other things with the same gloves. He took out the trash and cleaned around the restraunt. Not once did he change his gloves. He kept the same ones on the entire time. We informed the manager and he didn't even care. Atleast the female cashier was nice. She wanted to redo our order but we told her we didn't want that. We just wanted to point out that it was disgusting what the guy did. DO NOT RECOMMED EATING HER. STAY FAR AWAY. I was tempted to make a call to the health department about but I chose to leave it be. Never going back here again. That manager also needs retraining. When a customer brings a complaint you take it seriously and not brush it off saying "there's nothing you can do, there's hairs flying everywhere all the time" that just makes him arrogant. Read moreI have been coming to this whataburger for years now since I moved to Grand Prairie. I must say past couple years and beginning of this year service was great and fast. Now I can’t say that now it is super slow I literally pretty much wait 45 mins in the drive thru waiting for my meal. I thought drive thru were suppose to be quick? Seems like they don’t care anymore they forget things in my meals, add way to much mustard now and not to mention the last couple times they’ve used basic gas station styrofoam cups so I usually draw y’all’s logo on my cup. I don’t usually leave reviews but I felt the need to finally. Whoever is management or in charge must not really care. Still here as I’m writing this review. Been literally since 9:15 PM.
